The apartment can be reached by lift or stairs and inside benefits from an independent climate control system and Wi-Fi access. The studio is perfect for couples or small groups with a spacious studio room beautifully fitted with a stylish sitting area with sofa bed and flat screen TV, a comfortable double bed with a study desk and a fully fitted marble topped kitchenette with all the desired cooking appliances. Guests are able to prepare authentic meals here or dine at the resident Italian restaurant, where room service is also available.

The romantic Juliette style balcony overlooks the picturesque piazza and invites the gentle lake breeze into this very sunny and pleasing property.

The North West Italy / Piedmont/Lake Maggiore region

Lake Maggiore is 54 km long, with a coastline of over 150km and at its widest is 12 km. Like all the other Northern Italian lakes it is a deep glacial basin fed by rivers; Verzasca, Giona, and Cannobino flow into the lake. Its major outlet is the Ticino which, in turn, joins the river Po just south-east of Pavia.

Piedmont and Lombardy are two major regions surrounding the Lake but the most northerly section of Lake Maggiore extends a dozen kilometres into Switzerland, the lowest point above sea-level in Switzerland.

The climate as with all these protected lakes is mild in both summer and winter, producing lush vegetation, with beautifully planted gardens in wonderful villas growing rare and exotic plants. Well-known gardens include those of the Isola Madre, Isola Bella and the Isole di Brissago, that of the Villa Taranto in Verbania, and the Alpinia botanical garden above Stresa. These lakes are almost like a lost world. They also have their monsters apparently!

A passenger ferry service is located in the town with local activities including swimming, hiking, cycling, golf and island hopping. The nearby vibrant towns of Arona and the tourist resort town of Stresa boast a wide choice of modern day amenities, visitor attractions, boat excursions and a car and passenger ferry service to visit the many other beautiful Lake Maggiore towns. Local Food markets, museums, the famous Villa Pallavicino and the Mottarone funicular railway with panoramic lake views can be enjoyed in Stresa. For thrill seekers the Italian Lake district boasts some fabulous adventure parks and water parks.

For those wanting to experience a day trip on the Mediterranean Lake Maggiore is just a 2 hour drive from the Ligurian Riviera with the vibrant port city of Genoa and the famous ‘Cinqueterre’ fishing towns which are beautiful resort towns to explore.

The idyllic village of Meina, situated along the southern end of the Piedmont coast of Lake Maggiore, has been regarded since the 19th century as a delightful tourist destination, when wealthy families from Novara and Milan built their elegant villas here. Today guests can still admire the beauty of these fine villas and gardens, and explore the historical centre which is 20m above the lake level. Some good local restaurants are located in the village and an excellent bus service operates through the town, taking visitors to the popular destinations of Arona and Stresa in under 15 minutes

Making a Booking:

To make a confirmed booking, you will be asked to fill in our online booking form and pay a 30% deposit by wire transfer or credit card. The remaining holiday balance will then be due 6 weeks before arrival.
