A stunning large detached villa with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms in Los Palacios the popular first phase of the development (A). Fully equipped (including English TV and free WiFi internet) with private pool on edge of quiet private estate with breathtaking views over almond trees, open countryside and the stunning Sierra Espuna mountain range. Less than 15 minutes from beautiful sandy beaches.
The villa has two lounges (one overlooking open countryside) and 2 twin-bedded downstairs bedrooms each with own bathroom plus an upstairs master bedroom with large double bed and en suite bathroom. The bedroom leads out to a large secluded rooftop solarium with additional sun loungers. The front line villa is on a spacious corner plot with a large and secluded private walled and gated garden with exotic palms and ample sun loungers around a large 9 x 4 pool (Roman steps down to shallow end).
Alternatively you can relax and enjoy a long cold drink and admire the uninterrupted panoramic views under the shade of the extensive covered terracing. The garden has a gazebo with built in BBQ and fridge, underwater pool and garden lighting providing an ideal setting for outside dining whilst watching the sun going down.

There is a large rooftop solarium leading from the upstairs master bedroom for private sunbathing. The sandy beaches are approx. 15 minutes drive away and there are shops, bars and restaurants within a short walk from the villa.
Camposol has it's own 18 hole golf course, driving range, club house and driving range next to the newly completed 4* Sensol luxury hotel and spa resort.

Conditions
Minimum hire is one week with Saturday being normal changeover day. There may be some flexibility with this. Email owner with requirements.
The villa is situated in a quiet residential area and is suitable for families and couples only. Due to it's location, we regret that single sex groups cannot be accommodated.
A £200 reservation fee is required to secure the booking and the balance to be paid 8 weeks prior to occupation.
A breakages deposit of 200 euros or £200 (whichever suits our guests) will be taken on the day of arrival. In the event of no breakages or damage, this will be refunded in full at the end of your holiday.
We adopt a strict no smoking policy inside the villa and pets are not permitted.

The Costa Calida or "hot coast" has so far escaped the influx of mass tourism and all the commercialism that goes with it and sits between the Costa Blanca to the north and Almeria to the south.
The sandy coastal area is dominated by mountain ranges which gives it a unique "micro climate" and boasts more than 300 days of sunshine each year and an average temperature of 20 degrees.
An area steeped in history going back to Carthaginian and Roman times and more recently was famous for it's tin mining, fishing and agriculture.
The Mazarron / Camposol area
The coastal areas around Puerto Mazarron is just a 15 minute drive away with its many kilometres of fine sandy beaches and tiny coves many of which have been awarded the coveted European Blue Flag for water quality. On the seafront enjoy a stroll along the attractive "traffic free" shady palm lined promenade/pasao with its many shops, bars, restaurants and ice-cream parlours.
There is often live music and an evening craft market during the summer on the paseo. Alternatively take a walk around the newly opened Marina where you can enjoy a well earned drink at one of the bars whilst just "people watching" or perhaps making plans for your next day's activities whether pool, beach or a bit of sightseeing.
The generally untouched and rugged nature of the coastline and countryside appeals to those seeking a tranquil environment but for the more adventurous you could try sailing or sub-acqua diving, quad biking, go-karting, laser clay pigeon shooting or even hang-gliding.
For gentler exercise take one of the many footpaths just outside the villa's front gate and take in the magnificent scenery. For the more energetic walkers there are plenty of spectacular walks in the Sierra Espuna national park perhaps finishing off at a traditional Spanish restaurant where you can often see wild boar roaming. The Sierra Espuna is situated just to the north of Mazarron approached either through Totana or Alhama.
The small typically Spanish town of Mazarron is approx. a 10 minute drive away and sits about half way between Camposol and Puerto Mazarron. It has plenty of banks, shops and bars and a few restaurants. It has a small but popular Saturday morning market in the market square great for picking up your fresh often locally grown fruit and veg.
If you do not wish to hire a car, there is in fact everything you need on Camposol from several banks/cash machines, a large supermarket, English supermarket, internet cafe, hardware store, men's and ladies hairdressers and mini bowling alley to name a few. There are various bars, most with evening entertainment, and restaurants offering Italian, Chinese, Indian or English food. Camposol has its own 18 hole golf course, a clubhouse with entertainment and an adjacent newly opened 4* Luxury Spa Resort Complex.
There is a regular bus service to Mazarron town and the port where you can pick up connecting buses should you wish to go further afield.
A visit to some of the regions beautiful old towns with narrow streets and great architecture should not be missed. The lovely ancient Roman coastal city of Cartagena steeped in naval history with it's spectacular marina, trendy bars, shops and restaurants is approx. 40km away. Whilst there take the narrated boat trip around the harbour which gives a good insight to the city's fascinating past.
Take a trip to Murcia the provincial capital of the area (approx.70 kms away) and soak up it's beauty, history and architecture. It has retained its Moorish heritage and there are many impressive churches including the magnificent Cathedral. A plesant way of getting to Murcia is to drive to Totana station, park the car (currently no charge) and sit back and take the local train which passes through small villages along the way.
Also a trip to Lorca is well worth a visit. Stroll around the old part with its cobbled streets and admire the historic old buildings and architecture and then take a wander up to the castle on the hill.
If all that is not enough you could take a trip to the one of the Water Parks or visit the Terra Mitica Theme Park. The nearest Water Park is approx. 35 minute drive away but if you don't fancy the drive pop into the local tour operator on Camposol who run regular trips throughout the season.

Well we have been back less than a week and we are all longing to be back in the lovely setting of Villa Almendra. Firstly, the weather, setting and general location was stunning. We relaxed by the beautiful pool each day making the most of the covered terrace when the sun got tooo hot. The Villa was clean, spacious and extremely comfortable, with a teenage Son the wifi was a must and we soon settled in, home from home. The local area was nice, with the boys regularly being dragged to the local markets and Port, great days out. Of a night, a short walk quickly lead us to a great selection of bars and restaurants and we soon settled on Cats Bar as our regular for the duration, with hosts and entertainment that was fun and friendly. We would certainly recommend the Shashlik kebab in the Bulgarian restaurant close to the supermarkets just a short hop from Cats Bar,,,,,,,,,,,,, Food was excellent and very well priced. We would certainly visit again and soon if we has our way :-) |

Excellent Villa – home from home with everything that you would ever need. Friendly, helpful owners, that really care – this all combines to make this one of the best Villa's you would ever find for a perfect holiday. Location is good, if you just want to relax by the pool and use the many, within walking distance, coffee shops, bars and restaurants – you will not be disappointed. A car is essential, If you prefer to go further afield and explore the many beaches – which are clean and safe and visit the many unspoilt local villages, this will enhance a memorable holiday experience.
