The Costa Calida/Murcia region
LANDSCAPE: From the geographical point of vue, the region of Murca stands out because of its multiple contrasts. Murcia has just 170 KMS OF COASTLINE: coves and small beaches alternate with rocky shores and sheer, craggy cliffs. CLIMATE: Murcia enjoys a yearly average of 2,800 HOURS OF SUNSHINE. With a typical Mediterranean semi-arid subtropical climate, the region of Murcia has an average annual temperature of 18 C with hot summers and mild winters. The region of Murcia falls historically and geographically into a number of districts wich agglutinate the 45 townships making up this uniprovincial autonomus community, all of which in turn depend on Murcia, the regional capital ( just 45 minutes drive away, and having an exciting and wide cultural offer) The district of Cartagena contains townships as Cargagena (which has the Spanish Naval Headquarters, large marina and port, museums and many shops)or Mazarron
Mazarron area
Without a doubt the charm of this town resides in its varied and NUMEROUS BEACHES, of which 10 of them are still virgin and are amazingly beautiful, but Mazarron should also be known for its architectural, archaeological and monumenal patrimony which forms a chronological mosaic in the past of the town in all its splendour, forming a range of turist and cultural possibilities for the visitor: the Phoenicien, Roman and Arabic legacy is present in Mazarron in the form of sites, towns, castles or churches. GASTRONOMY: products from the countryside and the sea form the basis of Mazarron gastronomy: exquisite tomatoes and both fresh and dried fish. There is a nine hole golf course on the nearby golf development about 15 min drive away in land, 18 holes championship course can be founded about 45 minutes drive. There is a very colourful and large Sunday market selling everything on Sunday mornings in Puerto de Mazarron or on Saturday mornings in Mazarron town. Within 20 minutes drive you can choice between a wide range of bars, pubs and restaurant in the nearby town of Puerto de Mazarron ( from traditional tapas bar, or comfortable pubs offering beer and sports as well as traditional Sunday Lunches at local English restaurants) You should not miss the traditional fiestas at the end of November and the first week of December with large free paella and barbecue on the beach of Bolnuevo.

A GREET & MEET SERVICE is available on your arrival. No agents or keyholders, you will be greeted personally by the ENGLISH-SPEAKING OWNERS and shown round the property. All guest will be given a GUIDE TO MAZARRON, as well as MAPS AND LITERATURE of things & places to see in the surrounding areas FLEXIBLE CHANGEOVER DAYS as well as arrival & departure times to ACCOMMODATE FLIGHT TIMES For the 2 single bedrooms, extra beds are available.
Conditions
Pets are welcome at this property ( sorry no more than 1 dog at the same time) Bookings can be received by mail or phone and then confirmed once the deposit of 30% is received. The balance is due 2 weeks prior to arrival. A security deposit of ���£150 cash is required on arrival. This will be refunded the day of departure after property has been checked. Except for the period from Nov to March all utility bills are included in the rental rates shown. For the winter period the metered electricity during the rental period will be deducted from the security deposit at the end of the stay. For the winter months a free bag of wood is available on arrival, further bags can be delivered on request.

We spent a wonderful week in this house which is situated as beautifully and peacefully as it says on the web!!! The owners were friendly and very helpful and we had everything we needed. We did need our car but it was lovely to return to our peaceful house each day!! A great place for a week away from it all!
