'Casa Kushi' is not just another rental property, it is our very special holiday home in the sun and has been tastefully furnished and equipped to provide us and friends with a great place to relax, enjoy the sea, mountains, sunshine and all the natural beauty and culture of the local area. Our large private pool is specially surrounded with non-slip tiles, making it ideal and safe for families with young children. The landscaped garden with palm and fruit trees, stone BBQ, provides a perfect setting in which to chill out and enjoy al fresco dining, into the long warm summer evenings.
The social communal 'tropical pool complex' is only a three minute walk, where children can play safely and make friends. Meet up with others to enjoy light evening entertainment during the summer months and listen to live music from local bands. There is a Spanish restaurant serving tapas and evening meals, 3 tennis courts, petanque courts and an outside eating area.
In our villa you will find advice and maps on places of interest to visit, good local restaurants, water parks, golf courses to enjoy during your stay in Mazarron. The villa has a TV with a wide range of UK channels and a selection of DVDs. We have a modern air-conditioning system with both hot and cold heating modes for all seasons. There are also ceiling fans and oil radiators as an alternative for those who may perfer to avoid the use of air-conditioning.

The Costa Calida/Murcia region
This region has the most sunshine in Europe (320days per year), with average annual temperatures of 21 C degrees providing glorious summers and very mild winters. We chose the Costa Calida region for its wonderful sandy beaches and the many unspolit coves along its 250km of coastline, surrounded by mountains and high cliffs. It is ideal for walking, cycling and hiking, or simply strolling by the sea. The crystal clear blue waters are superb for swimming and the diving schools in the area offer a variety of opportunities to learn and test your sea diving skills.
The spectacular Nature Reserve of Sierra Espuna is only 25 mins drive away, with varied walking and cycling routes and opportunities for horse riding. There are excellent restaurants where you can sit on sunny terraces enjoying a traditional spanish meal whilst taking in the panoramic views from high altitudes and catching some amazing sunsets.
Murcia city is the cultural and business capital of this region, and provides numerous opportunities to enjoy different musical events, art exhibitions and a vast collection of modern and traditional shops to meet all your shopping needs. The historical towns and ports of Mazarron, Aguilas and Cartegena have interesting seafronts, marinas and protected parks and green spaces and the regular traditional markets are excellent for presents and fresh produce. In the old town of Lorca you can stroll through the artisan quarter where visitors can see the traditional techniques of weaving, clay pottery work and basket work, with many handmade items on sale in workshops and the local markets. Throughout this region, visitors can experience the excitement and community spirit of the local fiestas held in Murcia, Totana, Lorca, Categena, and Mazarron during Spring, Easter and Summer. Caravaca de la Cruz, one of the world's five holy cities is well worth a visit.
Only 20 minutes drive away, is the prestigious 'La Manga Club' with its five star Hyatt Hotel, 3 x 18 holes golf courses, tennis and football centres and much more. The Mar Menor (basically an interior sea) is the only one of its kind in Europe with very warm, shallow, calm waters making it perfect for families with young children and visitors may be interested in trying the many medicinal mineral treatments on offer derived from the salt lakes.
The area is very easily accessible, only two hours flight time from the UK, with many airlines now offering several routes at very affordable prices. The Costa Calida area is situated in the SE of Spain, between Andalulsia and Valencia and is well supported by a whole new infrastruture of major motorways and the expanding airports of Alicante and Murcia(San Javier) closeby. Renting a car in Murcia is very easy via the internet, with pick-ups and drop-offs at all the airports, and it is considerably cheaper than renting a car in the UK.
Mazarron / Mazarron Country Club area
The charm of Mazarron is the 35km of coastline, where the mountains come down to meet the sea, combined with the historical architecture and monuments to be found whilst strolling through the old town of Mazarron and the Port of Mazarron. One can see the influence of its Phonenician, Roman and Arab past through the Roman Villas, castles and churches.
Fortunately, Mazarron is still 'very Spanish' and is a popular summer holiday destination for the Spanish. This is reflected in the local restaurants, tapas bars, shops and the very popular Sunday markets which should not be missed. Visitors have the choice of many different beaches and coves at which to sunbathe and swim in the sea. The paseos between Bolneuvo, Mazarron, Isla Plana and La Azohia are perfect places to enjoy your warm evening strolls, maybe after dinner in one of the many restaurants along the sea front.
Mazarron Country Club is a quiet residential resort with beautifully designed villas, many with their own private pools. It is a safe and pleasant place for families and children to explore their immediate environment and make new friends - you will find people here very friendly and helpful.

For golf enthusiasts, there is an 18 hole course only 5 mins drive away plus there are many excellent golf clubs in the region. Closest airports to the villa are: * Alicante - 1 hour * Murcia (San Javier) - approx 30-40 minutes Alicante and Murcia are both just over two hours flight from London, UK, with many airlines offering great bargains e.g. Ryanair, Easyjet, Monarch. Jet2, etc.
Car rental is relatively cheap in Spain and a number of companies operate a pick-up and drop-off service from the airports. Booking on-line is easy with www.carjet.com, www.recordcars.com and other companies.
