The Costa Calida region

South East of Spain the region of Murcia offers over 250 km of coastline. The area has an exceptional coastline, blue flag beaches with shallow bays ideal for swimmers and water sports alike.
Sight seeing trips to Murcia can easily be organised by road about 30 minutes drive from Camposol or take the train, the railway network is good and remarkably cheap.
Murcia is the provincial capital of the region and is described as one of the most beautiful and historic cities in Spain. It stands on the banks of the river and has retained it's Moorish heritage, yet has fashionable boutiques, upmarket department stores and fine local cuisine. Murcia has two enormous shopping complexes and an Ikea store adjacent to the motorway. Marvel at the impressive churches and add a visit to the baroque Cathedral and the historic University, Do not miss the oportunity to visit the Bishop's Palace and the 19th Century Casino which has an amazing palatial interior.
The Mazarron / Camposol Golf area
This area is typically Spanish, not an area of night clubs and hi-rise mass tourism.
Camposol Golf as a large urbanization with many Brits as residents or owning holiday homes. Camposol has many organised events and even the short stay visitor can enjoy socializing with new friends as a holiday atmosphere is always present. It isn't necessary to leave Camposol as there are many restaurants, shops bars many of which have nightly entertainment.
There is a large supermarket DIY store Medical centre and pharmacy as well as a dentist on site. There are tennis courts and a gym with steam room and large outdoor pool at Casa Azul for five euros per person. A travel agents is also on site, and coach trips can be booked,
Puerto de Mazarron, is approx twenty mins drive from Camposol. It has a tree lined promenade and a walk along the paseo can be very leisurely. The waterfront restaurants have great menus and a meal can be enjoyed with wine for around 7 euros. Fish dishes are popular and as fishing is an important source of revenue in Mazarron there are many varieties of fish on offer and of course all fresh from a day's catch.
The Sunday market at the port is very well attended, this is a huge outdoor market selling plentiful fresh fruit and vegetables all locally grown, as well as all manner of things, but look out for bargains in shoes, leather goods and Spanish lace.
There are many Fiesta days in this part of Spain, a fantastic fiesta at Easter with marvellous floats and costumes, but this is one of many.
The area is a haven for divers with good diving schools at Puerto de Mazarron.
The marina at Puerto de Mazarron is undergoing complete rebuild and will be spectacular when complete. The area has benefited from a huge investment in facilities and infastructure with up to date motorway links.
Inland from Camposol is the Sierra Espuna, a National Parkland with barbecue areas in the mountains. Experience a nature lover's paradise for hiking, cycling and climbing or a scenic drive stopping on route to discover the real Spain, as you explore the small villages nestled in the mountains rich in Spanish culture.
The lower regions are fruit growing areas and Mazarron is well known for tomato growing and inland wine growing areas. The local markets have fantastic fruit stalls and fruit is remarkably cheap and of very good quality.
Coach trips to wine regions are very interesting and good wine can be purchased from the growers.

Great stay , just as you promised The villa satisfied all our needs
Thank you for your help on the phone. Looking forward to seeing the developmentson Camposol over the last three years Guest - Cheshire
Puerto Mazarron had a good diving school, and Camposol much cheaper to rent than at the port. The villa was a good base.
We so enjoyed our holiday at Fiesta Villas ! The accommodation was beautiful, so tastefully fitted and finished, and immaculately clean. The roof terrace provided the "icing on the cake" we thought. Enjoyed breakfast there every day, and some lunches and dinners, too.
Excellent well equipped villa's, that we have used 4 times now. Everything is supplied with what you want, fully equipped kitchen, bed linen, towels, etc., lacking nothing, and of course, most importantly, at a very reasonable cost. Should there be any problems (which is unlikely) help is always close to hand, and any issues are resolved immediately by the very friendly people looking after the Villa's. Villa's are located close to the Golf Course(s), beaches are in easy reach, local shopping is good and inexpensive, and there is a good choice of restaurants of various standards in the Mazarron area. You dont have to cook at all, but an evening Bar-B-Q on the solarium is a great way to unwind. A car is essential,
