About the home

This lovely villa is perfect for small families, couples and golfers alike. Ideally located on a very peaceful part of the Camposol Urbanization, it is a five minute walk to an 18-hole golf course and just a short drive to the Commercial centre with its supermarket, several restaurants and bars.
The villa is fully equipped for a self-catering holiday and has plenty of comfortable internal and external seating.
There is ample terracing overlooking the swimming pool and also a large roof top solarium with amazing mountain views.

The main entry to this property is from the door on the semi-circular terrace that overlooks the pool. The property can also be accessed via a door to the kitchen. Inside the lounge and dining area is open plan and furnished with leather reclining sofas and pine table and chairs. The kitchen is fully equipped with all necessary utensils for a self-catering holiday (including an extra fridge just for drinks and a George Foreman grill). Also on this level there is a master bedroom with ensuite bathroom and a second double bedroom with shower, sink and wc. Both bedrooms have fitted wardrobes and one has a sofa (which can be used as a child bed). The kitchen and living room have ceiling fans and the other rooms have free standing fans. WIFI and a printer (Epson Stylus) are provided. All UK TV channels received. A selection of paperbacks, board games and videos also provided. Video equipment plays both videos and DVDs.

The villa has a semi-circular enclosed terrace furnished with two comfortable wicker armchairs, a glass table with four chairs and a wicker sofa. Exterior landscaping is tiered and the layout includes another tiled terrace which has a gas barbecue and a further tiled sun-bathing area by the private 10 x 5 metre pool with a selection of comfortable sun loungers, an umbrella for extra shade and a shower. There is also a large roof top solarium that has stunning mountain views. Part of the grounds is laid out as a Mediterranean garden with a stone bench where one can sit in the shade of the palm trees. The garden has a selection of olive and citrus trees and there is a cool courtyard to the side of the villa.

The Costa Calida region

The Costa Cálida is the approximately 250 km stretch of Mediterranean coastline of the Spanish province of Murcia. This region has a micro-climate which features comparatively hot mean annual temperatures (and hence its name, "Warm Coast") and a relative degree of aridity (precipitation averaging less than 34 cm annually).

The Costa Cálida extends from El Mojón in the north near the province of Alicante, to near the municipality of Águilas in the south bordering on the region of Almería province.

The northern end of this coastline includes the Mar Menor ("Little Sea"), a coastal saltwater lagoon which at around 170 km2 is Europe's largest. The Mar Menor is separated from the Mediterranean by a 22km-long spit of land called La Manga, on which most of the tourism development for the region has been constructed.

Cartagena and Mazarrón are two other important coastal towns in the region.

The Mazarron / Camposol area

Golf is a huge pastime for visitors & residents alike with plenty of golf courses to choose from. There are many PGA championship courses such as El Valle which hosted the PGA European Seniors Tour in June 2011, Hacienda del Alamo which is the longest golf course in Spain and of course the famous La Manga Club.
There is also plenty of other things to do in Mazarron. Why not visit the local markets and really experience Spanish culture. It is an excellent way to practise your Spanish and you can try some of the local delicacies as well.

If it's relaxing you are looking for then visit one of the beautiful local beaches. With gorgeous clear blue seas and stretches of white sand, you can either sunbathe and enjoy the warm Mediterranean climate or take part in some exciting water sports on the sea.

Directions from San Javier, Murcia to Camposol.

Leaving the airport you will come to a large roundabout.
Take the left hand exit onto the AP7 towards Cartagena.
Exit at the first turn signposted to Almeria & Vera, AP7/E15.
Shortly after, the road splits. Stay right. (left will take you onto a Toll Road), heading towards the A30, Murcia.
Stay on this road exiting at junction 171.
Take the third exit at the roundabout onto the RM2 to Alhama de Murcia.
Exit at junction 4.
Left at the extremely large roundabout and onto the RM23 towards Mazarron.
This motorway briefly joins the RM3 and the Camposol turn is very soon after.

“Total relaxation” We hired a car from Murcia Airport and travelled down in about 45 minutes. The villa is spacious and well decorated, the shops are a 5 minute car journey and the beach at port Mazzoron is only a 30 minute drive. The neighbours were friendly and we felt it to be a home from home experience. Oh and with the pool, patio and BBQ who needs to go anywhere! We'll we back...
