About the home

Villa Greatrex is a 2 bed detached villa on a 300 m2 plot with an 8 x 4 private swimming pool. The outside area gets full sunshine all day as the sun rises out the front of the villa and sets at the back. Enjoy sitting on the patio, with the mountain views, drinking a glass or two of sangria and watching the sun set in the evening.

Our villa has newly fitted air conditioning units in both bedrooms and ceiling fans in every room. It also benefits from a playstation 2 games console and English TV if the younger ones will allow you to relax around the pool in the sun. Mazarron Country Club is a relatively quiet urbanisation with an on-site Restaurant/Bar which hosts some evening entertainment in the Summer months. The communal pool is a delight for a few Euro a day if you want to "people watch".

Long Term Rentals welcome at attractive rates.

Our Villa is fully furnished to a high standard. It has all the comforts of home including a playstation 2 with numerous games including an eye-toy game for the youngsters. DVD player with a selection of DVDs, a CD/radio cassette player and flat screen TV with cable television so you won't miss your favourite English programmes. There are a selection of books for your enjoyment and some family games.

One double bedroom which benefits from a king size bed and one twin bedroom with large built in wardrobes for ample storage, both fitted with an air conditioning unit. Kitchen is fitted with microwave, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, oven, ceramic hob, extractor, kettle and toaster.

Bathroom has usual amenities and a large walk in shower.

Just added Summer 2012 air-conditioning/heating units in the bedrooms. New king size bed and pre-cast bbq.

Further details outdoors:
8 x 4 pool with steps to sit and read and catch the sun. Some pool toys are supplied, 4 sun loungers plus 2 reclining loungers, glass top table with 6 chairs and an extra plastic table also with 6 chairs. Outside space benefits from being fully tiled with non-slip tiles and plenty of space to follow the sun.

The front garden has our very own lemon tree which should be ripe for picking this summer, just right for your g & t's. There is also a stone table and chairs in the front ideal for early morning sun.

Please note that sun-tan lotion/oil must be removed before entering the swimming pool as this clogs up the pipes and renders the pool unusable. There is an outside shower and if lotion/oil is applied half an hour before entering the pool and the shower used prior to swimming then this problem should not occur. If extra maintenance to clear the pool is required during your stay then this will occur a charge.

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE TIMES
On the holiday commencement date the property will be available for occupation by the hirer at 2.00 p.m. local time. On the departure date the hirer (including all members of the party and their belongings) must vacate the property by 10.00 a.m. local time. Alteration of these times will only be permitted with written consent from us.

SECURITY
Guests are asked to maintain security of the property whilst in residence and to lock all doors, windows, shutters and rejas when leaving the property. It is also advisable to keep the front gates locked at ALL TIMES so as not to attract salespeople to enter the property.

Conditions

This is a non-smoking villa but please feel free to smoke outside - it is too nice to be inside anyway.

The Costa Calida region

In the South West region of Spain on the Mediterranean coast is Costa Calida (warm coast); a relatively undiscovered part of Spain where a lot of Spanish holiday. Estimated 300 days of sunshine a year. The town of Mazarron and the Puerto de Mazarron are a short drive away for shops and restaurants and a newly improved luxury marina and paseo (boulevard) with lots of al fresco dining along the sea front. 30-35 kilometres of beaches in the region with many beautiful cliffs and coves for you to discover.

Nearby cities of interest are Murcia for shopping, water park and historic buildings and the Port of Cartagena with its Roman ruins are well worth a day out.

The Mazarron / Mazarron Country Club area

Mazarron Old Town is only a 10 minute drive from the villa. There you will find plenty of shops, some beautiful old buildings and a Saturday market, ideal for fresh fruit and veg and numerous other "finds". To the back of Mazarron Market Square you will find Bar Louis, a superb authentic Spanish tapas bar where the locals go.

Mazarron Country Club is an exclusive urbanisation benefiting from its own Restaurant/Bar where you food simple Spanish meals and tapas are served. There is a large tropical swimming pool with child swimming area on site (small charge made daily) which during the Summer months has a resident lifeguard and snack and refreshment bar.

There are numerous beaches all within a short drive namely Peurto de Mazarron, where you will also find the newly developed luxury Marina and plentiful shops, Bolnuevo with it's famous eroded rocks. Percheles beach is very secluded apart from National Holidays.

“The best 'home from home' holiday” From landing at the airport and following directions provided by the owner the holiday had started. The villa was fantastic and had everything you could want or need from a holiday home. Much time was spent in the pool and sunbathing on the terrace. The bar-b-q was another winner in the evening time watching our son swim and play in the pool with the lights on - fantastic! The location was ideal for short journeys on very quiet roads for all the amenities you would need on a holiday. A very enjoyable two weeks in beautiful sunshine.

“Outstanding! Will definitely come again!” We had a fantastic time at Villa Greatrex! We hardly needed to venture away from the villa since everything we needed was right there. The children (3 and 4 1/2) thoroughly enjoyed themselves and had more than enough to keep them entertained in a safe and secure environment. The location was perfect for us; remote and quiet, but not too far from shops and restaurants. Mazarron itself was wonderful and full of beaches that were child friendly. Overall a great holiday and we woudl certainly come back; perhaps in January if the poor weather continues!!!!

“Very well equipped villa with fabulous pool” We found the villa to be very well equipped with pool items for children & adults, with lots of patio space, poolside shower and plenty of sun beds, which was great. The pool was well maintained and lovely & clean. Also 2 large tables & chairs outside with good umbrellas. Inside the kitchen too, was very well equipped with plenty of necessary items in the cupboards. The drawers in the lounge had just about everything needed to ensure a comfortable stay. The only disappointment was the BBQ which was in a sorry state. Everything else inside and out was spotlessly clean. With a large supermarket within about 5-10 mins drive, this villa if the perfect place if you just want to relax, chill out and enjoy the sunshine. Response: Thank you very much for your comments about Villa Greatrex. I can now confirm that we have this week installed a very nice pre-cast concrete bbq to replace the very old metal one.

“beautiful villa in lovely location” we had a fantastic week at this villa very comfortable and spacious for a 2 bedroom villa and the pool well WOW!!!! all i can say about the villa is in summer months it could get very warm as there is no air con but fans come in very handy even in september it was very warm. nice area of spain to travel around,shame we hadnt got longer to see more places. recomend cartegena beautiful place. all in all wonderful holiday and the neighbours are lovely =) the site hasnt got much facility wise no supermarket etc and the restaurant wasnt the best but we ate local alot of the time or used the bbq. we will return soon

“First trip to a villa - very impressed!” Was a great holiday. Stayed at the Villa Greatex on the 31st july '11 for one week with my partner, our daughter and her two teenage friends. Inside - the villa itself was fabulous, fully equipped with all amenities from nail polish to mosquito candles. It was a good size - not too big, also the privacy is excellent. The bedrooms were lovely and each room had two fans, and a built in spacious wardrobe also with chest of drawers. The beds were comfy and I am a bad sleeper. The bathroom was spacious - a large shower, sink, toilet and cabinets with mirror. In the living room was two sofa's and a dining table, there was also a cabinet fully stocked with dvds, books, playstation games and many things from home. The kitchen was a bit on the small side but was a great kitchen. when we arrived it was fully stocked with milk, wine ect also the cupboards were stocked with food. Outside - The front garden had a driveway, few trees (one lemon which you can pick) and a stunning marble table which you can sit at in the mornings and watch the sunrise from the mountains. There was a gate leading out to the back garden where the private pool was. It was massive, plenty room for the five of us.The garden had two tables (one plastic one glass) both seating six people. Also six sunbeds, and plenty of pool toys. The bbq, washing machine and dishwasher were out the back, with two washing lines. The country club is very large, and there is a restaurants, large communal pool, tennis courts, basketball court also a bar. A hired car is a must, if you have that everything is very easy to get too as the villa has a book in it and has lots of things to do in it and also gives directions to just about everywhere. The villa is very secure with it all being gated up, also the country club is gated also. Would definitely recommend this to about every one as its a fabulous holiday. Also a week of great weather! Prices quoted are per whole week inclusive of electric, water, linen and towels.

Non-refundable deposit of £100 required at time of booking with the balance due 8 weeks before departure. If booking is within 8 weeks then full payment is required immediately.

We require a security deposit of £100 per booking payable with final balance. This is held against breakages or damage beyond normal 'wear and tear' and for any additional or special cleaning required to bring the property back to it's original condition. The deposit will be fully refunded on confirmation from our agent that the property is left in a reasonable condition and keys returned.
