The Costa Calida/Murcia region
Mazarron Costa Cálida. Bathed in history and with numerous beautiful beaches, hidden coves, mountains and varied countryside, the friendly people and healthy environment make Mazarrón and the Costa Cálida region a wonderful place to visit for carefree and relaxing holidays.
Mazarron is a traditional spanish town which retains a spanish flavour and heritage.It isn't suitable for anyone who wants a hectic nightlife.
The surrounding mountains provide a microclimate for Mazarron ensuring plenty of sun and little rainfall for most of the year.
The Sierra Espuna National Park is close by for nature lovers and for sporting activites such as cycling,hiking and climbing. Small villages and towns nestled in the mountains are rich in local tradition and culture.
Totana ,a nearby town is the second largest manufacturer of pottery in Spain and here you can find beautiful examples of ceramics at inexpensive prices.
Beaches in this area are blue flag and for the more adventurous, there is a naturist beach at Bolnuevo.These waters are perfect for diving and snorkelling. Mazarron is a tourist centre for marine and sub-aquatic activities and deep sea fishing/ canoeing/ water skiing/ windsurfing etc are popular sports. The frequency of prevailing winds in the bay of Mazarron mean that sailing instruction and practice can be undertaken throughout the year. There is a diving school at Mazarron which offers instruction courses for the novice.Clear waters and rich fauna allow the enthusiast to discover some very interesting underwaters depths, you can visit underwater caves and between the months of june to august, observe whales and dolphins in their natural habitat.
Murcia is the provincial capital of the region and is described as one of the most beautiful and historic cities in the country.It stands on the banks of the river and has retained it's moorish heritage,yet has fashionable boutiques, upmarket department stores and fine local cuisine.There are 20 impressive churches in the city including the baroque Cathedral which is worth visiting, as is the historic University, the Bishops Palace and the Casino built in the 19th century which has an amazing, palatial interior.
Cartagena is an ancient Roman coastal city, the old part of the city is quite spectacular and many of the buildings date back to Phoenician times. Cartagena has a beautiful and lively port area with lots of restaurants ,from here conducted boat trips leave regularly, touring around the surrounding coastline.There is a Naval and Archaeological museum showcasing the rich history of the area . Narrated bus tours also give an insight into the city's fascinating past.

Reference 1145 is located on Urbanization Camposol which is about 1 hour from Alicante airport and 40 minutes from San Javier (Murcia) airport. The blue flag beaches of Puerto De Mazarron and Bolnuevo are approximately 10 minutes by car. Urbanization Camposol has its own 18 hole golf course with driving range and club house. It also has a small commercial centre with a variety of bars, restaurants, shops and a supermarket.
Camposol is ideally situated as it has its own small commercial centre, but just 10 minutes by car takes you to Mazarron Town and Puerto De Mazarron and its many shops, bars, restaurants and supermarkets. Just 20 minutes by car in one direction takes you to the town of Totana with many amenities and 20 minutes in the other direction takes you to Cartagena, the naval town, where there is many shops including El Corte Inglais, Eroski, Caprabo and Carrefore plus many bars and restaurants. You can also sight see on the boats in the Port.

Horse Riding also available locally . Diving school and fishing trips can be arranged by Dragontours office available on Sector A Shopping Complex.
How to get there
Cheap flights available into Alicante or Murcia airport. Best car hire prices are found through www.car-hire-broker.com. Motorway travel time 1 hour from Alicante Airport & 45 minutes from Murcia Airport (using toll roads). Taxi to and from Alicante/Murcia can be arranged prior to arrival. Local bus from Camposol to port, Mazzoran town and Cartergana. Totana railway station is the nearest railway station, from Murcia and trains travel all over Spain.

The villa is available from 3pm on the arrival day and must be vacated by 12pm on the day of departure unless prior arrangement has been made with the owner or caretaker. Arrangements to hire travel cots and high chairs can be made on request.. Caretaker/key holder on site to meet and greet guests and will give assistance throughout your stay if required.
Conditions
Deposit of £50.00 required at time of booking. Full rental payment due 4 weeks before booking commences.. Full deposit refunded to guests via mailing address after inventory and keys returned to caretaker.
