The villa and the tiny Island of Montserrat combine to offer the chance of serious relaxation with the choice to go diving, snorkeling or walking. The small beaches are very seldom too busy and often you can be the only ones there. A thirty foot pool in the garden ensures that if you would rather swim in fresh water you are able to..whenever you wish and in complete privacy.
Inside the villa you will find two sitting areas, a dining area and fully equipped modern kitchen with granite worktops.There are two double bedrooms with one bathroom, a house bathroom and an en-suite master bedroom with its own small patio area.

The whole property overlooks the nearby Caribbean sea and is very private.

The Olveston region

Montserrat is a small Island about twenty miles from Antigua. It is a British protectorate. About eleven years ago the volcano in the south of the Island became active and the main town, Plymouth was evacuated. That area of the Island is now often described as a modern Pompeii. Many of the buildings are covered with ash.
Previous to the eruption the Island was a favourite with the music stars of the time where several of them used the Air Studios on the Island to record.
The southern part of the Island is still classed as in the danger zone. The volcano is still active, on and off. However, the Island continues to be one of the most attractive in the Caribbean. Crime is practically non -existant and the local population are so welcoming and friendly they are a joy to be with.
If anything the volcano has made Montserrat even more ineresting and alluring.

Mayfield Drive area

There are several walks through the lush, tropical forests in the centre of the Island and also in the less forested North of the Island. You can go on your own or with a local guide.

The Green Monkey dive shop can organise snorkelling and diving suitable for all ages. They can also take you in a boat all around the Island.

And of course, one of the most popular actvities at present...volcano watching. There are various vantage points including the Montserrat Volcano Observatory where your questions can be answered by the experts.

How to get there

From the UK you will need to fly to a nearby Island, usually Antigua and then on to Montserrat in a smaller aircraft.
Virgin, BMI, BA all fly to Antigua regularly.
On receiving your booking we will supply further details with regards travel - there are several options.

Although able to accommodate 6 people the villa is more often than not used by couples. There are two double rooms on one floor(beds can be made into two singles in each room) sharing a bathroom and the Master suite with 'Emperor' sized bed, a private sitting room , bathroom and small patio is situated in it's own wing of the house..
The huge verandah has a dining and sitting area. There is also a separate dining area and lounge inside.
The kitchen has all modern appliances .
If required there are fans strategically placed around the villa but seldom used because of the often present gentle breeze.

Wi-Fi and plug in broadband available free of charge.

We will soon also be offering a considerably cheaper alternative for the budget traveller - a twin room or two twins with your own bathroom and patio by the pool and if required breakfast. Please contact us for further details.

Further details outdoors:
Apart from the 30 foot swimming pool the private garden has advocado, pomegranate, mango, coconut trees and there is a small banana grove - guests are encouraged to eat whatever may be available. Planted to encourage willdife humming birds flit from flower to flower an occasional agouti will visit as will an occasional iguana.

We are very proud of our pre-holiday contact. We make every effort to find out what you want and what we can do to make sure your holiday is as perfect as possible. We will contact you to talk over anything you wish. We can organise for you to be met at the airport. We can hire you a car at the lowest rate possible. We can make sure provisions are provided for your first nights stay. We can have a meal delivered to you on your first night or any subsequent night.
We really do go out of our way to discover your likes and dislikes and then we leave you to enjoy yourselves (self).

Conditions

We are flexible about as much as possible BUT we do require a 25% deposit at the time of booking. The outstanding amount must be received by, at the latest, two weeks before your holiday is due to begin.
In the event of you cancelling refunds will only be made if we can let out the property for the same length of time as your booking.
If we have to cancel your booking for any reason a full refund will be given (and if you are very lucky a few days free offered if you book again!).

NB: Prices may be subject to change at the owner's discretion.
A small reduction will be given for stays of a month and longer.

The rate is the same from 1 - 6 people.

RATES FOR ONE FLOOR PLUS BREAKFAST ARE £15 (US$30) per night for one person, £25 (US$50) for two. £45 (US$88) for four adults per night.
