Set in beautiful countryside, next to the owner's house, Daisie Cottage is a newly-built detached character property, offering very comfortable accommodation which is furnished to a very high standard. It has great views across pastureland to the the Malvern Hills. It has largely oak flooring throughout, with oak thumb-latched doors.

Downstairs is open-plan, with an exceptionally well-equipped kitchen. The lounge area has a large, corner leather sofa, flat screen tv with Freeview channels, a dvd player and a USB connection for a games console. It also offers Ditigal DAB radio with ipod connection. There is also a separate downstairs wc. The main bedroom has a king-sized French oak-framed bed and an en-suite shower room (note restricted head height due to sloping ceilings). Bedroom 2 has twin beds. Both bedrooms are adjacent to the main bathroom.

Outside, the property has a small, private gravelled courtyard garden with a dining table and 4 chairs and a traditional charcoal barbeque. A lockable shed can be provided for the storage of bikes and pushchairs and there is also a welly store.

Daisie Cottage is situated near May Hill, on the outskirts of Newent. It is easily accessible by car, with parking directly outside for up to two cars. Set in a rural location and approximately 1 mile from Newent town centre, Daisie Cottage is near to a range of shops, supermarkets, butchers, banks, hairdressers, Chinese and Indian takeaways, a fish and chip shop and a Post Office. The international Birds of Prey Centre is situated within a few hundred yards of the cottage. There are a range of country pubs and restaurants within a short drive and the nearest pub is approximately 1 mile away. Newent town centre is reasonably served with buses and the nearest train stations are at Gloucester and Ledbury.
The pretty market town of Ledbury is approximately 15 minutes' drive away. There is a good selection of shops, cafes, restaurants, pubs, a leisure centre with swimming pool, an art gallery and some antique shops. There is a car boot sale every Sunday afternoon at the Rugby club.
The city of Gloucester, with its beautiful cathedral, historic docks and Gloucester Quays shopping centre, is within a 30 minute drive. The beautiful Regency Spa town of Cheltenham is only a little further away and is excellent for shopping, restaurants and cafes.
There are great walking and cycling routes all around Daisie Cottage. A selection of maps and walking books are provided for guests' use. The local village of Kempley is renowned for its "daffodil walk" and teas in the spring.
May Day offers the chance of a visit to the top of May Hill at dawn, where local Morris Men and musicians gather to welcome the sunrise, followed by a big breakfast and more music at May Hill Village Hall.
Newent has its own Onion Fayre, which takes place in September, where you can witness an onion eating competition and view spectacular displays of vegetables, amongst local stalls and other attractions.
Daisie Cottage is ideally located for the Malvern Garden Shows and other events at the 3 Counties Showground. It is also not far from Cheltenham, which offers the Literature, Science, Jazz, Music and Folk festivals and regular race meetings throughout the year. There are theatres at Malvern, Cheltenham and Tewkesbury, all within a 30 minute drive. Tewkesbury has an annual Medieval Festival and Upton-on-Severn has Jazz, Blues and Folk Festivals during the spring and summer.
Newent is situated on the edge of the Forest of Dean, which offers beautiful walks, cycle routes and the Pedalaway Cycle Centre for bike hire and family trails. There are canoe centres on the River Wye at Monmouth and Symonds Yat. Other attractions feature Goodrich Castle, the Go Ape High Wire adventure experience, Hopewell Colliery, Lydney Park Estate spring gardens and Roman remains, Taurus Craft Centre at Lydney, a paintball centre at Coleford, Lydney Wharf, Chepstow Castle, Tintern Abbey, Raglan Castle and numerous excellent country pubs and restaurants including the Severn and Wye Smokery at Westbury-on-Severn for fresh fish, delicatessen and cafe/restaurant.
The area is also abundant in golf courses, with local pay-and-play courses at Newent, Highnam and Huntley.
