The Christ Church region
Maxwell is located on the livelier south coast of Barbados. It has an excellent climate and beautiful beaches with a wide range of watersports. The property is situated 2 blocks back from Maxwell Road which runs from Oistins though to bridgetown. Public transport is excellent and there are regular buses which are clean, well maintained and Inexpensive. Alternatively the locals favour the minibuses that run along the route all day long. If you stand still at the side of the road one will pull up alongside you within a few minutes and ask if you want to get in. The cost is about $2 bds (50p) however far you go.
Maxwell / Fairholme Gardens area
Oistins 'fish fry' friday and saturday nights with music and dancing and kiosks serving fresh catch of the day, chicken and a wide range of local delicacies - not to be missed!! Bridgetown with duty free shopping - remember to take your passport. Graeme Hall nature sanctury - a must for all nature lovers Check local press for horse racing at the garrison race track

Excellent public transport service and inexpensive taxis makes car hire unecessary, however hiring a car is an excellent way to discover this beautiful island. The road are good and Bajan drivers are very courteous so driving is a pleasurable experiance.

19B Fairholme Gardens is a fabulous family holiday home, with excellent facilities, from washing machine to coffee perculator. The gate to garden and poolside was great, with 2 small children. The pool was lovely and well used. The mobile phone left for our use was brilliant, especially as we had family on the island with bajan phones. This was the first holiday that we have opted for a rental property rather than a resort and I would not hesitate to recommend this property to anyone! The property is of a very high standard and tastfully decorated. My 2 year old son and 14 year old daughter loved the pool and the fact they had a bedroom to themselves. Having the flexibility to eat when you want, sit round your own private pool and totally chill was a huge plus point. We will be going back to this property again next year. Kevin - Co Durham
Great property for the family my kids (4 & 18 mths) loved the garden & pool and the people,beaches etc are great.Great facilities.My Mrs was over the moon to return home with all our clothes washed clean & dry! Highly recommended for family holiday.

Just returned from a wonderful 2 weeks in 19a Fairholme Gdns. We couldnt fault anything. The house is very well equipped and spacious all excellent quality. Could perhaps be a bit better organised re the hand over of keys, although keys had been left for us we didnt know that at the time! The location is really good with easy access to public transport, supermarkets & nightlife. Highly recommend Oisitns Fish Fry on Friday night, arrive earlyish (7pm) for dinner and enjoy the "street party" later.

THIS PROPERTY IS EXCELLENT!!. COSY HOME FROM HOME FEEL WITH EVERYTHING YOU COULD NEED.FULLY EQUIPPED KITCHEN, BEAUTIFUL POOL AND SUN LOUNGERS. EXCELLENT QUALITY FURNISHINGS, VERY CLEAN TROUGHOUT. VERY SAFE QUITE RESIDENTIAL AREA WITH FRIENDLY NEIGHBOURS HOWEVER STILL VERY CLOSE TO MAIN ROAD AND ALL ATTACTIONS.

"Great property and will definitely be staying there again, If I was to do anything differently myself, I would also have some air conditioning downstairs, and not also have the 4 windows in communal areas and both rooms glased as we really got eaten alive by the mozzies. However, I must stress the property, location and facilities and decor were all excellent!! And I would suggest this place to both friends, and I will definitely going again soon."

Strongly recommend this property. If you are debating whether to do for a resort or property rental, I would strongly recommend a house for its flexiblity and space. Our 18 month old had a wonderful time too.
