Fishing town of Oistins with the famous 'Friday night fish fry' party night just 15min stroll. Shops, bars, restaurants, pharmacy and medical facilities all within walking distance

The Christ Church Parish region

Maxwell is located on the livelier south coast of Barbados. It has an excellent climate and beautiful beaches with a wide range of watersports. The property is situated 2 blocks back from Maxwell Road which runs from Oistins though to bridgetown. Public transport is excellent and there are regular buses which are clean, well maintained and Inexpensive. Alternatively the locals favour the minibuses that run along the route all day long. If you stand still at the side of the road one will pull up alongside you within a few minutes and ask if you want to get in. The cost is about $2 bds (50p) however far you go.

Excellent public transport service and inexpensive taxis makes car hire unecessary, however hiring a car is an excellent way to discover this beautiful island. The road are good and Bajan drivers are very courteous so driving is a pleasurable experiance.

“50 years young in Glorious Barbados!!!” Loved it. Have been wanting to stay here for many years and I finally managed it. Made even more special by the fact that it was my birthday and I had my mum and my sisters here too!! We rented both houses and they were clean and had all the utensils needed and accomodated our families comfortably. We were well looked after by Janice the housekeeper. Having been to Barbados before we knew what we were doing and treated the rental like a home away from home. We hired a car and drove everywhere and so didn't find getting around difficult at all. I really can't say anything more except that when we do go back we will definitely stay here again so that my husband can experience this lovely house. Thank you.
