The West Country region
Mawgan Porth is a particular favourite for families and surfers alike with its large sandy beach fringed by interesting caves and rock pools.
It is also ideal for coastal walking - while all the rest of Cornwall's attractions are within an easy day or half-day out by car.
Nearby Watergate Bay is just two miles down the coastal path - a popular location for action sports and host to Jamie Oliver's restaurant Fifteen. Bedruthan Steps, a spectacular beach with amazing rock formations is also just up the coast and there you can find a National Trust cafe with welcoming refreshments and that all important Cornish cream tea.
Locally the property is ideally placed for the shops, cafes, a pub-restaurant and take-away in Mawgan Porth. All only a short stroll down the road so there's no need to get in the car. To discover more of Cornwall only 2 miles inland is the pretty village of St Mawgan with its ancient church, tea room and craft shop amongst its attractions.
