Boskel has two large bedrooms - a double bed and a bedroom with two singles and a large double sofa bed in the lounge. The cottage's dining area sits six comfortably and there is an outside seating area.

The cottage has a bathroom with a bath and shower. There is also a separate WC. There is an enclosed sitting area at the back of the cottage.

We have unlimited free broadband and internet.

Eating: We have countless quality restaurants nearby of which the obvious are Fifteen Cornwall, Nathan Outlaw, Steins, and Paul Ainsworth but also some excellent local quirky options: For example Jon's Bistro - a farm restaurant 100yds from us is excellent where the menu is decided each morning and he will cook what is fresh from the garden. We know most of the head chefs at the restaurants well and can help with booking.

Walking: There are miles and miles of cliffs to walk, and whether its blowing a gale with a fifty foot swell or 25 degrees and an ocean like glass you will be taken aback.

There is a beautiful walk to St Mawgan through the woods where you can visit the bonsai nursery - a must and the two churches as well as experiencing the Falcon inn and the post office stores who make excellent food. On a cold winters day there is nothing better than attending the local where the roaring fire and friendly locals will make it too difficult to leave. Around us we also have miles of moors to consider enjoy whether its for a fast run or a gentle stroll.

Golf: I play at St Enodoc one of the Uk's best links course and there is also Trevose nearby to test your skills. Merlin golf course is also just a two minute drive but is much less testing and whilst long, will suit beginners to medium standard golfers. for children and families we have a pitch and putt in the village along with a crazy golf.

Bowling: We have a nearby ten pin bowling area in Trevarrian campsite.

Outdoor: As well as the obvious surfing and boogie/body boarding the area also allows for kite surfing, spearfishing for seabass, as well as picking mussels to cook on the beach. Our surf hut at the back of the mawgan porth cottage allows you to hose off your wetsuits and dry them off whilst keeping your boards safe.

Mawgan porth also has two tennis courts and there is nearby horse riding.

Baby sitting: Our daughter is on hand to babysit if you would like an evening out at one of the many restaurants or pubs nearby.

There are plenty of options nearby for a swimming pool whether its indoors or outdoors. The cottage has plenty of parking and a colourful garden to enjoy.

We have lived here most of our lives and know everything about the area so we will meet with you when you arrive and give you all the local insights that people dont know about so you can holiday like the locals do.

The Cornwall region

Mawgan Porth - A place with heart where you can create life long memories through simple pleasures such as coastal walks, playing on the beach, rock pools and caves or surfing in an uncrowded sea.

In the Summer properties are all rented out but the best time to see Mawgan porth and its climate is out of the normal season. For example the water is at its highest temperature in October. I snorkel and spearfish for c 4 hours at a time in November without difficulty.

If you are interested in a family friendly community, Mawgan porth is it. We have access here to everything else you need with the knowledge that your family will be safe.

Our beaches are patrolled by the life guards May to October.

Cornwall is the number one UK destination for the Uk holiday holiday maker. Mawgan Porth has retained its simplicity and community feel. You'll holiday with the locals like the locals.

Mawgan Porth

There is something for everyone although I would point out that Mawgan Porth is not for young singles and groups who are better served in Newquay. It is a family resort appealing to couples both younger and more mature!

In cornwall there plenty of attractions which depend on your tastes:

Pocahontas Grave

Bedruthan Steps National Trust Site

The Lost Gardens of Heligan

St. Michael's Mount

Tintagel Castle

Blue Reef Aquarium

Minack Theatre - just an amazing theater cut into the rocks.

Geevor Tin Mine

The Eden Project

The Adrenaline quarry - Longest zip wire and swings off a cliff

The Tate St Ives

Trebah Gardens

National Maritime Museum Cornwall

The Camel Trail - excellent flat cycling for families.

The Cornish Cyder Farm

Charleston Shipwreck Centre

"All you need is the weather"

Boskel is a real home from home - it has everything you will need for a great holiday. Two good size bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom. Looking through the lounge window you can see the bay and sea - really great. The property is on a hill down to the cove with no pavement so you have to be careful if you walk but there is plenty of parking space if you take your car. The beach is a great place to go with the family but terrific for your dog (if you have/take one). There are some lovely places to go and also great walks - it does help to have decent weather but this is England and you just make the most of whatever you get. Your hosts - Peter and Mandy plus their 3 daughters and bouncy spaniel - are the most welcoming and friendly people you will ever meet. Peter is a great ambassador for Mawgan Porth and for the whole of Cornwall as well - what and who he doesn't know isn't worth knowing! One drawback or advantage - depends on your personal tastes - there is not a great mobile phone service and no internet at the home. Would we recommend this property to anyone else? Very definately YES

Thank you very much. Best wishes to you and the family. Im in a quandry re wifi. Most are telling me to not to put it in as they get the full break with no temptation to do what today's world makes so easy to do and have a quick look at emails/internet etc. Admittedly all the pubs around us have wifi open but I'll keep an eye and if enough people want wifi I will pop it in. For future guests: 02 has a signal at the house and thats about it - poss orange. Vodafone is well known in cornwall along with 3 for being poor. However if you go to the top of the hill away from the cove and bay's interference with signal you can get a signal for most connections via signal or 3G. You can get 3g at the property.
