About the home

Neptune house is situated just a few minutes walk from the bay at Mawgan Porth which is renowned for being one of the best in the area. It has lifeguard support in the summer months and is dog friendly. The house has 4 bedrooms sleeping 9 people, in 1 double room, 1 Family type room with 1 dbl and 2 singles, 1 twin room and 1 single room There isi has full central heating and is comfortably furnished. The views from the garden overlook the ocean.....perfect for watching the sunset with a glass of wine...or 2

Mawgan Porth has resisted the urge to become over commercialised yet still has a fine pub/restaurant and a bistro bar. In addition there is a cafe and a fish and chip takeaway as well as a well stocked mini supermarket that boasts a delicatessen. There are a small number of independent retailers selling associated beach products.

Please note that linen and towels are not provided, this can be arranged at a cost of £10 per person per week.
Gas is included which fires the heating and hot water, electricity is by way of coin meter. Approx usage £7 - 10 per week

Neptune is within easy reach of several outstanding bays and only 8 miles from Padstow, the quaint fishing village and the home of Rick Stein and his renowned food restaurants...well worth the visit

The West Country / Cornwall region

The Eden project is only a short drive from Neptune House and the Lost Gardens of Heligon, Trerice, Bocastle and Tintagel are among the many interesting places to visit. A complete variety of visitor attractions to suit all tastes are situated throughout the area or there are plenty of traditional fishing villages dotted along the scenic coastline to visit.

Cornwall’s climate is warmed by the Gulf Stream, summers are often warm with plenty of sunshine and winters are mild, making it perfect for coastal walks, water sports or just relaxing on the beach.

Mawgan Porth has an abundance of coastal walks accessible virtually from the front door of Neptune House.

Neptune House is situated near a beautiful section of the Cornish Atlantic Coast. Apart from the stunning coastline the area is packed with things to do and see. Whilst the area is internationally famous for it’s surfing, there is plenty to meet everyone’s ideal holiday requirements. The beaches are some of the best you are likely to find in the UK and of course there is the spectacular South West Coast Path and surrounding countryside to enjoy.

“A perfect getaway!” This was our 5th yr of viisting Neptue....and we will be back again next yr! Neptune is a little dated, but that only helps in giving it that well loved "grandmas" house feel & charm! its in an amazing location, just a stone's throw from the coastal path, which drops down onto a wonderful beach, complete with coves and rock pools to explore. We always take our 3 dogs, who are in their element. Due to Neptunes wooden floors, it is most welcoming to dogs and little people. If you want to indulge yourself then wander over to "Scarlet", opposite, with its 5* eco facilities...and out of season...special lunch deals....or even a hot chocolate (with homemade marshmellow) on their balcony,with a book, wrapped in blankets (provided), eating home made biscuits! Then come "home" and watch the sunset over the beach, whilst listening to the wind whistle around the lil house perched up on the hill!
