Farmhouse | 5 bedrooms | sleeps 10
Only 35 minutes from Toulouse, with its international airport, and 20 minutes from the beautiful market town of Auch, this is a wonderfully quiet and secluded 17th Century stone farmhouse in two hectares of garden and woodland. The size of the house makes it an ideal place for a large family group of several generations, or two families to holiday together. There is plenty of room on the property to find your own space!
En Dimanche, however, is only 2 kilometers from the old market town of Mauvezin where there are plenty of bars, restaurants and shops together with a bank and weekly market within easy reach. In the surrounding, rolling countryside there are lots of lovely bastide villages to explore, all with pretty bars and restaurants. A neighbouring village has a lovely large, landscaped slide pool - a fun day out for all the family.
For those who crave the city, nearby Toulouse offers great covered markets, restaurants and shopping....and there's even a cinema that shows films in English!

|Further details outdoors|
On the side of the beautiful stone barn there is another covered terrace providing a spacious and shaded area with dining table and chairs for up to 14 people and an area with a sofa, comfy chairs and a coffee table. The terrace has uninterrupted views overlooking the orchard, fields and woodland beyond, and is a delightfully peaceful retreat on a hot afternoon.
The Midi-Pyrenees region
The Gers is full of pretty medieval towns all with their own weekly markets. The regional centre, Auch
(with its larger markets) is a short drive away. Further afield (but all possible day trips) are the stunning
medieval cities of Carcassonne and Albi, the home of Toulouse-Lautrec, and if you want to go further afield both the Mediterranean and the Pyrenees are easily accessible.
Nearby is charming Mauvezin with its beautiful covered market. This large village has restaurants, bars, shops,
butchers, bakers, bank and a small supermarket. There is a small, but charming, market on Mondays.
Ten minutes away, Solomiac has a great outdoor swimming facility with three pools (to suit all ages) and some great water slides – perfect for kids in the summer. There are lots of picnic areas as well as a café for snacks and ice creams.
There are lots of inexpensive café/restaurants in the area but if you fancy a treat there is a two star Michelin
restaurant nearby (Les Puits St Jacques) which is superb, and offers a very attractively fixed priced lunch.
Toulouse, with its variety of restaurants is also within easy reach.
