About the home

Nestled at the foot of the ramparts of the castel of Mauléon, the gite Les 3 Pommes offers at holidaymakers looking for a break a greenery case of 5000m².

On the ground floor, you will find an equipped kitchen with electric stove, gas, microwave, dishwasher, hog, fridge, toaster, kettle, coffee maker ; a living room with TV and video recorder.

Upstairs, you will find a room with a double bed, another room with 2 simple beds and a bathroom.

Outside, you can enjoy the terrace, a barbecue, a lounge garden and the pool owners!
Your children can also play in the sandbox.

A deposit of 30% of the total amount will be required to secure the reservation.

The balance must be paid 30 days before your stay.

A tax of 0.30€ per night and per adult will be payable on site at owners.

Once full payment is received an accommodation voucher will be issued which you take with you to France in exchange for the keys.

The Poitou-Charentes / Vendee / Deux Sevres region

Nestled in the heart of the Deux-Sevres region of Western France. Known as one of France’s ‘Best Kept Secrets’.

The Deux-Sevres is the tranquil, laid back, unspoilt department of the Poitou-Charentes, the area has a mild micro-climate and is deemed to be the second sunniest region in France, benefiting from the warmth of the La Rochelle basin. Beautiful Countryside in all directions and traffic free roads to go and explore.

Deux-Sevres is bordered by Charente Maitime with its beautiful beaches - La Rochelle, Royan and the Ile d'Oleron and the Vendee with Sables d'Olonnes.
The wonderful nearby coastline and beautiful islands of the Atlantic are all under 2 hours away.

The Marais Poiteivin (Little Venice) is a short drive away with its winding canals and waterways - you can hire a boat for the day and explore.You could also make a visit to Futurscope near Poitiers or to Puy du Fou, a big theme park.

The area is steeped in history offers unspoilt landscapes and some of Europe’s most imposing Tumuli, Romanesque churches, chateaux and museums. During summer, discover a lot of festivals, markets and events.

This region is a great place to take a Cycling holiday with virtually traffic free roads and beautiful scenery.

The Mauleon area

Les 3 Pommes is situated in the beautiful town of Mauléon which has lots of shops : bar-restaurants, supermarkets, post office, drugstores, doctors, bookstore, bakeries and hairdressers. There are also cinema, swimming pool, parks.

The nearest town of Bressuire is 25 minutes drive and has numerous restaurants, shops, supermarkets, discos and bars. There is also an ancient Chateau and a newer Chateau sitting side by side - both are set in a park with a children's play area and lovely walks along the river.

There are lots to see and do in and around Bressuire. The 56m renaissance tower of the church of Notre Dame rises high over the town and surrounding countryside. Originating from the 11th Century, the Chateau dominates the town and is an ideal venue for the many events throughout the year.

As well as being in an area of historical interest, Bressuire is within easy reach of the Loire Valley, the Marais Poitevin, Futuroscope, Le Puy du Fou and the renowned fishing centre of Pescalis.

The medieval town of Parthenay with its beautiful ramparts and stunning hill-top views is 50 minutes drive away.

The old railway between Bressuire and Parthenay has been converted into a walking/cycling or horse riding path giving 30km+ of safe riding.

Local villages have public lakes for fishing.

Theatre, cinema, library, museum, antiques & bric-a-brac, cellar and wine tasting, fitness centre, parks and gardens, discotheque, exhibition centre, historical site, markets all close by

If Fishing is your passion you can fish at the world-renowned centre of Pescalis at Moncoutant which is approximately 30 minutes drive - you will be spoilt with the Lakes which are open for Day Fishing - neary there is also a Karting Track and an Assault Course which will suit all ages - there are restaurants open all day to suit all price points.

Just a bit futher you will find the medieval town of Vouvent with its ancient churches and Mervent - with beautiful forest areas to explore leading down to a beach on the river where you can hire sailing boats and pedaloes and yet another Assault Course - Pierre Brun - there is also a boating lake.

Tennis, squash, riding school, pony club, golf practice range, ten-pin bowling, archery, go-karting, petanque field. An abundance of country walks and cycling routes are situated around the property

Two 18 hole golf courses at Golf des Forges and Cholet are approximately 20 minutes drive. Canoeing in the Loire approximately 2 hours drive.
