About the home

This is an ideal location for families looking for a get away from it all holiday where you can do as much or as little as you wish.

Formerly the village butcher shop the property is full of character. It has two good sized bedrooms one with a double bed and one with two single beds, well equipped kitchen with dining table that seats 6, shower room and large sitting room upstairs which overlooks the garden, pool and valley beyond.
There is a large shared pool and gardens.

Kitchen:
The comfortable kitchen/diner is equipped with gas hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge and large dining table which seats up to 6 people. The kitchen is well stocked with crockery, glasses and utensils.
Sitting Room:
A large upstairs sitting room with high ceilings, exposed beams and lovely views over the garden and the valley beyond. There is a selection of games, books, TV and DVD player .
Bedrooms:
Bedroom one is located downstairs with twin beds, bedside tables and a wardrobe. Bedroom two is located upstairs with double bed, wooden floors, fireplace, wardrobe, bedside tables, dressing table, french windows and balcony.
The shower room is situated downstairs with sink, toilet and large shower.
Situated underneath the stairs is a washing machine.
There is limited wifi available

Further details outdoors:
There is a large private garden and use of the owners 12m x 6m pool. The pool is surrounded by a paved patio complete with comfortable sun loungers and parasol and has stunning views of the valley. There is a shaded area for eating 'al fresco', table tennis and a barbecue is provided.

Full payment required 8 weeks before departure.

Conditions

All bed linen and towels provided but not pool towels.
Weekly bookings accepted. Weekly rentals from Saturday to Saturday preferred (we do have some flexibility - please ask).

Cot and high chair available on request.

The Midi-Pyrenees / Hautes-Pyrenees region

The Hautes Pyrenees is popular for its mountains and National Park and is easily accessible for walking, hiking, cycling, canoeing and bird watching.

As we are also situated on the borders of both the Gers and the Pyrenees Atlantique we are surrounded by rolling green hills and vineyards, hidden villages and bastide towns together with access to the beautiful Atlantic coast with its long sandy beaches.

The Maubourguet area

Maubourguet is a thriving market town with a mix of small shops selling local produce and a large supermaket catering for all requirements.The weekly market is held on Tuesday morning whilst the surrounding towns hold their market on alternative days which means there is always a different market to visit each day if you wish.

During the summer there are numerous festivals and events and your stay can be as quiet or lively as you wish it to be. A local event which is always popular is the Marciac Jazz Festival held for two weeks during August and many world famous jazz musicians and singers perform.
