Situated at the foot of the Luberon, in the heart of Maubec, a village of Provence, our eighteenth century mas is built around an inner courtyard where you can enjoy the shade of an ancient lime tree. We will welcome you in our guest rooms or in the adjoining building converted into a fully equipped flat where you will be totally independant.

The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur / Vaucluse region
The Lovely region of Provence has three main sections Bouches-du-Rhône, Var and Vaucluse. Situated in the southeast corner of France, Provence is only a short distance to the Mediterranean Sea and the mountains of the Alps.
Aix-en-Provence is by far the cultural and tourism capital of Provence. It is a stunningly beautiful university town.Aix has been an inspiration to many great writers and painters over time, including Guigou, Stendhal, Mistral and Zola. Most famous of all though is Paul Cézanne, who was inspired by the Provence countryside, and there is even a special Cezanne tour! There are a number of museums and galleries worth visiting in town.
So varied are the museums and places of interest in this area there is sure to be something for everyone to enjoy, for the shoppers among you there are colourful local markets and for the artist galleries and monuments to study. And then you can relax and unwind in the pleasant climate with a glass of local wine and a dish fresh from the local restaurant's.

The villages of Oppède-le-Vieux, Gordes, Ménerbes and Bonnieux are all within a 15 minute drive, making it easy to take in the beauty of all aspects of village life,allowing you to sample the speciality dishes in each one and the warm hospitality of the people. The Baroque church. Belfry is one historic place to visit and from May to November there is a sunday morning market , for those who like to keep fit it is ideal for fishing hiking and mountain biking.
Maubec is also an important for growing grapes, known for the production of the "AOC Côtes du Luberon" wines, "eaux de vie" and oil from grape pips.
