Apartment | 4 bedrooms | sleeps 8
Large apartment located in Matosinhos just aside of Porto's City Park. It has awesome views as you can confirm on the photos. And Porto is just at 1 Km.
The apartment has 4 bedrooms (3 bedrooms with double bed and 1 bedroom with 2 single beds) but the 3rd and 4th bedroom will only be open to guests if the group is more than 4 or 6 people respectively.
To avoid any misunderstanding, the bedrooms offer works like this:
1 to 4 guests = 2 bedrooms available
5 to 6 guests = 3 bedrooms available
7 to 8 guests = 4 bedrooms available
So, for example, if you are only 4 people but you want to use the 4 bedrooms, you will have to mention on your inquiry that you are 7 people because, only this way you will have access to the 4 bedrooms.
Nevertheless, all the other areas (Kitchen, 2 bathrooms and the large Living Room) will be available in any option, and the apartment will be (in all cases) only for you because I will not book bedrooms to more than one group of guests at the same time. You will be the only group of people staying in the apartment.
A big kitchen and a 90 Square meters Living room where you can enjoy the Sea views and City Park's gardens. Clean bath towels, Linen and tableware are included and the kitchen if fully equipped with microwave, stove, oven, fridge, toaster and kettle and all you need to prepare your own meals.
The apartment also has free wireless internet and an underground parking garage for 2 cars.
Just 15 minutes by car from the Airport and 10 minutes by car to Porto's city center.
The bus stops at the door and line 500 will take you in 20 minutes in the centre of Porto for € 1.85 per person. and the drive is beautiful along the promenade and the Douro. Metro at 800 meters (10 minutes Walk) that will take to all areas of Porto.
Lots of Restaurants and Bars in the area and a Supermarket at 600 meters. The Beach is just at 400 meters with a well known Surf's Spot.
The green lungs of the city. Parque da Cidade has 83 hectares of green areas, footpaths and varied sports equipment, it is the largest park in Porto. It is a pleasant place of about 10 km of paths and rich and varied fauna and flora.
Finish your day eating a francesinha in Edifício Transparente, watching local surfers, or visit the Lota de Matosinhos and have some charcoal-grilled fish or some shellfish.
Late check-in is acceptable until 01:00 a.m.. Late check-out is possible if we don't have new guests on the same day.

About this location
Northern Portugal region
Porto city was built along the hills overlooking the Douro river estuary, and its historical center was awarded World Heritage status by UNESCO in 1996. It has been continuously inhabited since at least the 4th Century, when the Romans referred to it as Portus Calle
Porto has a semi-Mediterranean climate, although it's strongly affected by the Atlantic ocean, which makes it cooler than other cities with this climate. However, temperatures can rise as high as 35ºC in August during occasional heat waves. Winters are mild and humid, with occasional cold nights where temperatures can drop below 10ºC.
Porto has some of the finest restaurants in Portugal. It is said that if you like to eat, you should go to Porto because it is a place where you eat well in terms of quality and amount (even Lisbon citizens say that in Porto is where they eat the best food). The best restaurants of the city are mainly located in Matosinhos near the beach and the seaport called "Porto de Leixões".
Expect hearty meals, and if you can, try "Tripas à moda do Porto". Be aware, however, that this is a tripe dish. Citizens of Porto are called tripeiros (tripe-eaters) on account of this dish. Also try the salted codfish "Bacalhau" - in any way it is cooked - there are hundreds of different dishes with salted codfish!
A good tip is going to Matosinhos in July, there will be the fish festival. Freshly caught fish is being served the same day at barbecues lined up in the streets just a few blocks from the main beach. You choose a fish (only whole fish) and they prepare it on the streets for you - not a fancy restaurant, but together with the local people you are eating the best tasting fish you ever had!
Matosinhos is renowned for its gastronomy. By lunch or dinner time, you start thinking about the old quarters in Matosinhos or Leça da Palmeira, caressed by the fine odours coming out, either from fine restaurant kitchens, or from simple charcoal grills on the street, where fish and seafood are cooked. It is an irresistible calling to our senses that you will satisfy in exquisite restaurants or in simple and informal taverns. In Matosinhos eating is, for everybody, a motto for quality and excellence.
Matosinhos' gastronomy is based on the traditional food of Entre-Douro and Minho. Poultry, pig and oxen were a privilege, only to the rich husbandry houses, for this was eminently a rural municipality until half of the XXth century.
Having lunch or dinner in Matosinhos and Leça da Palmeira has become an habit, for everyone who lives in Porto or in the cities around, whether it is done with the family, or in business, politics, tourism or even to socialize with friends. This city has become a gastronomical icon, where fish and seafood are trade marks of its restaurants, regardless of time, budget and demand.
Even though meat isn't forgotten (old recipes are still in use: stewed, roasted, boiled, with vegetables, potatoes, beans; or with new recipes), fish has become a special attraction, for its variety, freshness and quality, explained by the nearness of the sea and the fish market.
Very close to the apartment there's the matosinhos beach and also Porto's City park. There's is also lots for restaurantes and also some night life at 1km.

A lovely apartment with amazing sea views, the sunset is a must to see. Everything you need on your doorstep coffeeshops, restaurants, shops, lovely park and an amazing beach. Close to bus stop to get into Porto, as it is about an hour walk. Christina was very easy to contact which was very useful as we were traveling by car so could not be very accurate with times. The only problem we had was the internet was not very good, to use it it was best to stand outside bedrooms by the box, only a miner problem and it did not affect our stay.
