With the National Park within easy reach, Oker View makes a great base for exploring the Peak District.

The Matlock area
Matlock is a popular town in the Peak District, close to Matlock Bath, located in the wooded gorge of the River Derwent. Both Matlock and Matlock Bath offer shops, pubs and restaurants, along with visitor attractions such as Gulliver's Kingdom and the Peak District Mining Museum. Good walking and cycling are available nearby, with the High Peak Cycle Trail within easy reach, while the Heights of Abraham is well worth a visit with its showcaves, water gardens and nature trail. Within easy travelling distance are the market town of Bakewell with its 17th century market hall, Ashbourne with its Georgian buildings and cobbled alleys, and Chatsworth House.

"Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental.
