”La Ida” is located on the hill above Sorrento in the quiet and typical village of S. Agata Sui Due Golfi that overlooks both the Bay of Salerno and the Bay of Naples. The two storey house is independently situated on a panoramic spot overlooking the 'Galli islands', surrounded by a Mediterranean flora of olive groves and vineyard. The first floor is used by the friendly family of the owners, old farmers now retired, which are still cultivating local goodies in the surrounding gardens for kitchen use. The Apartment (90 sqmt) on the ground floor, heated with radiator in every room, has a large and bright living room surrounded by fully furnished terrace, a large kitchen c. Two double bedrooms, one twin room and two bathroom with tub/shower. A private parking space also available, but is so near the village centre, that car is not relay necessary. The village is well connected by local transport to all sites of interest such as Pompeii, Positano, Amalfi, the bay’s islands of Capri and Ischia, and also to all the small beaches of the area about 6/7 km away.

Massa Lubrense / Sant'Agata Sui Due Golfi area
S.Agata Sui Due Golfi is a delightful village on the hills above Sorrento. Its name says everything about the breathtaking views which it enjoys over both the Bays of Naples and Salerno. Apart from the main village centre, there are another seventeen villages which have developed from the ancient hamlets and are still linked by an intricate network of paths, mule tracks and lanes as well as by the main roads. In the village are shops of all types, bars, caffes, and restaurants such as " Don Alfonso" mentioned in the Michelin guide as one of the best in Southern Italy. To be visited in the village, the Church (XVI century) has a late Renaissance structure and is famous for its very precious altar, with fine and elaborate inlaid works of mother-of-pearl, lapis-lazuli, malachite and every type of precious marble. The Monastery of " Il Deserto" and its famous belvedere above the Gulfs of Naples and Salerno made this site one of the most celebrated in the Campania region. Not to be missed is a visit to the old fishing village of Nerano ( 7 km), that has become a pleasant beach resort, without spoiling the original atmosphere.
How to get there
To reach the Bay of Naples . The Sorrento Peninsula and the Amalfi Coast from the Motorway A1 Milano/Napoli - Exit Naples for the motorway A3 Napoli/Salerno (Penisola Sorrentina)- after 23 Km Exit Castellamare(Penisola Sorrentina), and proceed on the S.S.145 for 18 Km to Meta. From Meta 14 Km to Massa Lubrense (on the way Piano, S.Agnello, Sorrento ).
