About the home

The villa boasts an impressive 180 degree view of the Atlantic ocean and has large outside space (2 completely secluded terraces and 3 private exotic gardens) overlooking the sea which is only a few steps away. There is nothing between you and the sea. The villa is in fact built on a rock between two sand beaches, which are only a few steps away (one minute on foot).

It is perfect for rest and relaxation: you could feel like a ship in midst of the ocean. You can choose to go for a quiet swim in the heated swimming pool which also overlooks the sea, or choose one of the two neighbouring beaches to enjoy the Canary sun.

It is lovely to listen to the waves crashing into the rocks and the seagulls making their rounds, especially in the calm of the night, whilst you can doze or watch the stars above. Or you can choose to make the most of the vibrant nightlife nearby in Playa del Ingles.

Facilities

Further details indoors:
The Villa is 250 sq meters in size, there are 600 sq meters of private terrace and private gardens and 250 sq meters of shared terrace.

In the kitchen you have a dishwasher and a full size fridge freezer, microwave, cooker, coffee maker, juicer and smoothie maker. The utility room has a washer and dryer, ironing board and iron etc.

The villa has two double bedrooms with attached bathrooms facing the sea, a third double bedroom with attached bathroom facing the garden. The final fourth bedroom is downstairs, which has two separate beds, and the bathroom on the first floor can be used.

In the bathroom a hair dryer is provided.

In the living rooms: two TVs, one of which is an LCD flat screen, with satellite and DVD player are also provided.

The Villa has a safe for safekeeping of important documents and papers. Towels and bed linen are also provided.

The villa is in Canarian style with matching furniture, sculptures and carpets.

Further details outdoors:
The villa is on the sea front, completely secluded, with 3 private gardens and 2 large terraces. The two neighbouring sand beaches are only one minute away on foot.

On leaving the property there is easy access to beautiful pathways that take you along the sea to other beaches further away.

At the entrance to the Roca del Mar residences there is ample car parking.

There is a heated swimming pool and large shared terrace.

There are many excellent restaurants, supermarkets in the area, accessible by foot if so wished.

A pack of basic food items can be in the Villa to welcome you if so desired.

Conditions

50% of total rent must be transferred immediately to ensure reservation. the rest must be paid 8 weeks prior to arrival, to a specified bank account.

Rent includes parking, removal of garbage, garden maintenance and an average consumption of water and electricity.

€150 refundable breakages deposit required in cash on arrival, to be refunded within max 2 weeks of your departure (subject to satisfactory property inspection).
€180 is required in cash on arrival to cover cleaning of villa and laundry washing on your departure. Together € 330 must be given in cash to Kristina on arrival to receive the keys.

The Gran Canaria region

Gran Canaria, often called a mini-continent for its extreme landscapes, has something for everyone.
Imagine: canyons like in the wild wild west, idyllic pine forests, or rising and falling sand dunes like in the extremes of the sahara desert. You could watch the snow settling on the Pico de las Nieves, whilst in the south you would be taking in the heat of the Canary sun!

The weather is good all year round with little or no rain making it a perfect all year round holiday destination. Maspalomas famous beaches and golf links are 10 minutes away.

Gran Canaria ia also the most well endowed of the islands for culture and history. In Las Palmas it has the most dynamic city of the Canary Islands, Maspalomas is one of the largest resort complexes in Europe and the inland scenery is grand beyond comparison.

With its abundance of variety there is something for everyone, history, culture, beaches, nightlife, good food, relaxation and year round sunshine!

The Maspalomas / Bahia Feliz area

The villa boasts beautiful beaches on both sides, with various small restaurants and bars only a few minutes away on foot.

About 5 minutes down the road, you can find Bahia Feliz, which is a small settlement with a very good infrastructure. Here you can find a full-fledged shopping centre, boutiques, restaurants, cafés and pubs. You can also go for a stroll along the beautiful seaside promenade which will take you into San Agustin or Playa del Ingles within 20-30 minutes.

Golf information:
Of all the golf courses in the world many cannot compete with Gran Canaria, because the island has a special advantage: the climate is ideal for the actual playing, and enables golfers to to play at any time in the year. Gran Canaria currently has six golf courses, they are spread out across the island with a distance of no more than 50 kilometres between each one. There are plans in place to create four more golf courses (and three are in midst of being built). A further advantage of Gran Canaria golf courses is their competitive price, which is below the average.

Sports:
Windsurfing and Kite surfing: Club Mistral has it’s main base directly on the beach in Bahia Feliz. There are approx. 70 boards with 100 rigs as well as state of the art kites at your disposal.
Mountain biking: Gran Canaria is an island with innumerable routes, which are suitable not only for bicycle fans but also for visitors, seeking direct contact with nature. Let it be a down-hill or a long distance ride – the bike is a perfect vehicle to experience indescribably beautiful landscapes. State of the art and high quality bikes may be rented directly in the proximity. Organised tours are also available.
Trekking: The entire island is covered by an ample network of trekking routes. There are easily accessible pathways, “caminos reales”, donkey paths and in addition, small ways and paths, which are reserved for the experienced trekker.
Tennis: There are two tennis courts close by.

Wellness & Activities:
Europe’s largest centre of Thalassic therapy lies close by and offers a choice of wellness spas, relaxation and swimming in hot sea water. Also a detailed medical examination for the preparation of a personal program, massage, water gymnastics, bubble bath, underwater shower, pressure shower, sauna followed by body-peeling, cleaning of the skin with massage, manicure, pedicure, algae-therapy, bubble-bath with algae, facial treatment or treatment to improve skin texture as well as treatment for rheumatic complaints are offered.

Futher Activities
Nearby is the infamous Sioux City, home of the spaghetti westerns, where you can enjoy the wild west show and BBQ evening. Or dine in style at Garbos Dinner Show for that special night out.
The largest waterpark in the Canary Islands can be found a taxi ride away for a day of fun and sun.

Roca del Mar is ideally placed to take advantage of those activities that will give you the rested break you deserve.

The villa is 15 minutes from Las Palmas Airport. To get to the villa you take the road marked GC 500 SUR towards Playa Del Ingles and Maspalomas. At junction 37 you turn off for Bahia Feliz, San Augustin and just after that take the next sign for Mogan to your right. At the sign for Mogan you will see Air Tours on your left you then take the first exit for Playa del Aguila. After 30m you will come to a roundabout: take the first exit (slightly upwards) - then take the first road on the left hand side (towards the ocean). Here you will see a large parking area - and the main entrance of the residences of Roca del Mar (which is a large wooden door).

By taxi from the airport the cost is about 25 Euro.

Two car rental companies at very competitive rates are two minutes away on foot from the villa.

A taxi rank service is also available nearby.
