Quiet and peaceful it is very close to the historic towns of Martina Franca, which is within walking distance and Locorotondo.
The property has easy access to all amenities including the local Wednesday market for bargain hunting, and many excellent restaurants for eating out. Local shops and the hospital are just a few minutes away by car. Set in a UNESCO World Heritage Site, close to the "Trulli Town" of Alberobello.
Positioned on the heel of Italy's "Boot" it's a short drive from the beautiful coast lines and long beaches of the Adriatic and Ionian Seas. Within driving distance of the stunning Torre Canne beach.

Beautiful traditional Italian towns and cities with stunning architecture fine wines and delicious cuisine surrounded by lush countryside, limestone hills and exquisite sandy beaches surrounded by rocky bays.
Visit the 'Town of Trulli's', Alberobello, a major tourist attraction teeming with history. Taranto is about half an hours drive away with many historical buildings, shopping centres and you are in for a treat as Apulian restaurants are a gastronomic delight and very reasonably priced. The coastal town of Fasano has a "Zoosafari" which is great for the kids and a beautiful beach front. All the local towns have market days with stalls selling Italian clothes and shoes and locally produced foods and wines all at very reasonable prices. The local Puglian people are very friendly but do not all speak English,so a phrase book is advisable
Martina Franca area
Martina Franca is a stunning town of Baroque architecture with narrow winding whitewashed streets set on top of a hill overlooking the lush Itria valley. The beautiful, unspoilt beaches of the Adriatic are about 25kms drive away, with fantastic open air beach restaurants with freshly caught fish, are a must to try.
There are local markets every day during the summer with festivals and firework displays weekly
There are numerous bars, restaurants, urban parks and squares unspoilt by tourists.
How to get there
Ryanair operates budget airline services from London Stansted to Bari and Brindisi which are both less than an hour away from the property by car. British Airways also flies to Bari from Gatwick. Alitalia fly from London to Bari and Brindisi via Rome. For late bookings try holidaygenie.com as flights via Rome and Milan are often available at half the price of the budget airlines.
A good selection of car hire companies are available at both airports. Cars can be collected and dropped off at different airports if necessary.
There is also a train station in Martina Franca town centre which is about 5min drive away.
