About the home

Restored apartment as part of a beautiful Maison du Maitre house nestling in the hamlet of Pomie. Markets in both Souillac and Martel 3 times a week Sarlat and the Dordogne within half an hours drive. Swimming pool and vegetable patch both in the garden . Rocamadour /Pech Merle to name a few of the sites of importance nearby and if you are looking for an activity holiday artsits studio on site and canoeing/paragliding within 4 kms.

Great views over unspoiled hills and woodland. 4 miles from ancient towm of Martel. Markets twice a week.

The pool is privately owned and is shared only with the family this also applies to the garden- we live in the main part of the house.

Sarlet and the Dordogne within 35 minutes driving with all the colourful markets . Canoeing nearby down the Dordogne Souillac Golf club 7 miles

“very agreeable stay” Apartment good - very comfortable bed, good shower (and bath), kitchen facilities excellent. Very helpful hosts, both before and during stay; friendly but not intrusive. Excellent small library in the apartment - local guides and books of more interest (and Hitchcock DVD's - there is no broadcast TV available). One suggestion: it would be good to have a curtain in the bathroom for use when it is dark. The general environment is very attractive, as is the barn that the hosts use as a studio.

“Relaxing place, great hosts, good swimming pool, beautiful area” Good value, relaxing surroundings. Beautiful area with plenty of walks and canoeing on the Dordogne.
