Fleur De Lys
Townhouse | 2 bedrooms | sleeps 6
The house is on a quiet street, overlooking a pretty square. On 3 levels the house enjoys the benefit of an integral garage. As well as a washing machine, walk in shower & WC the garage is home to a games area including table tennis. There is still room for a medium sized car. On the first floor there is a spacious living area (with double sofa bed), and wood burning stove - for the winter months. There is a separate fitted kitchen/dining area with french doors leading from the kitchen directly onto a completely private south facing terrace with table & chairs, and BBQ. This means that outdoor eating couldn’t be simpler. The completely enclosed terrace is very safe for children. On the second floor there are 2 bedrooms (1 double/1 twin) and a walk in shower with a separate WC.

The Languedoc-Roussillon region
The Languedoc-Rousillon region boasts 300 days of sunshine each year. Since this area is one of the premier places for winemaking, there are vineyards everywhere, and the temperatures reflect this each year. Expect summer in Marseillan to be hot.
Temperatures in excess of 85 degrees are fairly standard and the heat is arid rather than humid, so is more enjoyable and tolerable than other countries. Since this is the Mediterranean, the summer generally lasts long into October.
See our web site for more information.
Marseillan is a lovely fishing village situated on the shores of the inland sea known as the Etang de Thau, famous for the cultivation of mussels and oysters, as well as the entry point of the Canal du Midi. Approximately 3 km away is the sandy beach stretching 18 km all the way to Sete. The sea is shallow making the beach very safe for children.
Marseillan provides the ideal holiday base to explore the surrounding area including the medieval towns of Pezenas & Agde, the busy cities of Montpellier and Beziers, and the wine producing villages of Pomerols and Pinet. Whether you spend your time in Marseillan or venture further afield, there is so much to do and so many ways to sample traditional french life.
From enjoying the many markets, sampling the many restaurants in the village, to simply relaxing in the Mediterranean sun.

"A real home from home"
What can I say? Everything you could think of is available here from bicycles to fishing nets, table tennis to a fruiting chilli plant. The location is less than a minutes' walk from the stunning village centre. There's beautiful old French narrow streets, a stunning marina and fantastic Bistros's; Le Jardin is quaint bistro with stunning food. I can't fault any of the stay, except one thing......having to leave!! Perfect property, perfect place equating on a perfect stay. Be back soon
Thank you very much :-)

"Lovely stay in Marseillan"
We've just got back from a week at Fleur de Lys in the old Languedoc town of Marseillan.
The house is in the twisty narrow streets in the old quarter of town within easy walking distance of the port, restaurants, town square, etc so perfectly located for us. Whilst the furniture is a bit lacking in character to my taste (being Ikea rather than antiques) this is made up for by the house being spotlessly clean and superbly equipped. Having storecupboard basics like sugar, herbs and olive oil was great as was the fab 'basement' with beach stuff, 4 bikes and table tennis (although it was too sunny for that).
Marseillan Plage is a short drive/bike ride away and the nearby town of Pezenas was full of interesting antique shops.
Really easy drive to Marseillan from Beziers airport too (but best to park in the free carpark round the corner from the house - when I say narrow old streets I mean narrow!)
