Set on a hilltop with glorious views, Casa Rilassante is truly a lovely place to spend a holiday. Whatever your choice of holiday, Casa Rilassante caters for all interests. Children can play safely around the grounds which are bordered throughout by hedges, and the whole family can enjoy the swimming pool, whether splashing around, or swimming lengths for exercise, or just lying in the sun, taking in the breathtaking view from your private terrace.

The Umbria region
Umbria is known as the "Green Heart of Italy". Wonderful scenery, historic hill towns, beautiful in all seasons, hot and sunny in the Summer, warm and still in the Autumn and Spring, cool but clear in Winter.
In Umbria, tourism is growing because of the harmony between nature, antiquities, historic centres (the landscape is dotted with many picturesque medieval villages) and culture. The quiet of the countryside, good provisions and fabulous cuisine and local wine and olive oil are the great draw. Rents for houses are lower in comparison with Tuscany. The area around Perugia is one of the best known for holidays in Central Italy when you want on the one hand to visit towns like Gubbio, Urbino, Perugia itself, Assisi, Spoleto, Spello and Todi and on the other hand also want to make a trip to the lake of Trasimeno, the famous Marmore Falls or go into the mountains and visit the many charming little towns and villages
In day trips, it also possible to visit Rome (we advise to go by train) and other charming little towns of northern Lazio (Tuscania, Tarquinia, Bagnaia, Civita di Bagnoreggio and the lakes of Bolsena, Bracciano and Vico) or southern Tuscany (Siena, Montepulciano, Cortona, ….). In day/half day trips, it also possible to visit Florence, Siena and many other little towns and villages of southern/central Tuscany.
You are ideally situated to visit Perugia, the capital of Umbria and famous for the Jazz festival in July. Throughout July and August there are numerous festivals in the local towns and villages. 10 minutes away Marsciano has all the facilities you need including a large supermarket, weekly market, restaurants, a cantina, pharmacies, butchers and a small hospital. There are smaller villages in the surrounding hills with small supermarkets, bars, restaurants, butchers and other small shops selling local produce as well as cantina selling the local wine. Rotecastello is a delightful small village, with a talented local artist selling mosaic items such as mirrors, tables and pictures. A wide variety of waterborne activities can be enjoyed at Lake Trasimeno which can be reached in 45 minutes.
There is a guest book in the house with further local information.

"A perfect place for total relaxation"
My daughter and I have come to stay at Casa Rilassante twice now over the last couple of years and it has been a holiday to remember each time.We visited both times with friends and their children ranging from the ages of 6 to 16.
The accommodation is everything one would desire for a perfect and peaceful holiday. The home is beautifully laid out in a serene setting with amazing views across the hills. It is perfectly equipped with everything you need to enjoy a home away from home. The bedrooms are spacious and with 2 en suites it works well for couples with friends and young children. Th owners have very thoughtfully kitted this home out to allow enjoyment for all ages. A very plentiful amount of games, books and DVDs.
The patio allows for a very relaxed evening with spectacular views. The pool is immaculate with lots of loungers available to guests. Its a 10 second walk from the home. This holiday home is about 4 kms from the shops so a car would be necessary but the local town-Marsciano- has everything you need with loads of local fresh produce.
The home itself is located within a very small development of about 10 cottages and each time we have visited we have been welcomed by the other owners/ renters and made some lovely friends. One of the owners spends quite a bit of time there during the summer months and could not have been more helpful and welcoming on both occasions.
Highly recommend this beautiful holiday home and we look forward to returning there very soon.

"Ideal location for a family holiday, a home away from home experience in the rolling hills of Umbria."
A wonderful family holiday location with excellent accomodation in a safe and secure hillside cluster of modern homes, set in beautiful rural Umbrian countryside and still close to urban life with all amenitiies, fine restaurants and attractions. It is an ideal base for motor touring and relaxing afterwards or taking a trip to Italy's famous cities using your own transport or nearby train stations. Nearby villages have their own unique attractions and festivals, with music, dancing and fun for all family members. The villa is spotless and fully equipped with all mod-cons. Private parking, grounds and swimming pool proved second to none. A perfect family holiday location.

"Relaxing, fabulous views and great day trips close by"
I stayed with some of my family at this house one summer and have to say my holiday was thoroughly enjoyable. From breakfast on the veranda overlooking vast and colourful fields to lazy afternoons by the pool and that first prosecco of the evening admiring the sunset from the terrace.. Close by there are several lovely restaurants and we also took the opportunity to visit Florence, Assisi, Peruggia and a beautiful lake, Lake Trasimeno, all day trips well worth a visit. You can stock up on fabulous food at the nearby supermarket and also just enjoy lounging at the villa, which is well equipped with all the necessary appliances, even including dvds. I can only recommend this villa and area of Italy for a great holiday and look forward to returning some day soon.

"An idyllic retreat; fabulous property in beautiful surroundings"
We travelled to Casa Rilassante with two young children, and I can honestly say it was the first time we had relaxed on holiday since they were born! The property was beautifully presented and comfortable, and the terrace, gardens and pool made for the perfect combination of relaxation and fun outdoors. The local town is a short hop in the car, and the immediate surroundings are wonderful for walking and exploring. There are lots of interesting places to visit within easy reach, but its just too tempting to stay home and lounge with a glass of local wine and anti-pasti, looking out over the fields and enjoying the sunsets. I cannot recommend it highly enough for a 'getting away from it all' authentic Italian holiday.
