The Island of Malta region

Malta is an excellent holiday destination for all walks of Life, whether a family holiday, romantic Getaways, simply leisure or business trip. Weather is usually fantastic with true Mediterrean weather conditions. Overall Malta can be exciting, exotic , romantic, historic and very entertaining.

The island consists of three main islands. -Malta, Gozo and Comino Island. Getting around is easy and can venture anywhere with a car on main land Malta from just under an hour. The island is modernizing, though laid back, through mediterrean lifestyle and surrounded by the beautiful Mediterranean sea all round. There are several places of interest to choose from, beaches to historic museums, water sports, nightlife and entertainment.


Marsascala area

Marsascala, is an ancient fishing village, (often referred to as marsascala) with its picturesque bay that lies south-east of Malta. the Maltese call the area( Wied il ajn) and many Maltese families have summer homes here. In the holiday season It is buzzing with activities much loved by local visitors alike. It sprawls at the feet of two hills descending from Zabbar and Zejtun. its long U-shaped coastline and beach, its rocky promontories and its muliticoloured fishing vessels, giving lots of character. This is enhance by a big variety of modern leisure facilities and bars. marsascala Bay use to extend deep into the valley to a cave with a natural spring of fresh water where old marines took their water before sailing. This zone used to be a heaven for roman ships during their long period of occupation. It is partnered by the next (wider)Bay called St.Thomas Bay, dominated by the huge St.Thomas Fortress built by the Knight of St.John. In the time of the nights, Ottomanand Barbery parades used to land at Marsascala to take water and / or to seek refuge from the rough seas....Usually also causing havoc by stealing and harassing /kidnapping the locals. Often , the elderly women and children would be rushed up to Zejtun or Zabbar by their men. Folk when sightings were made. It is recorded that in July, 1614 a 60- strong fleet of Turkish vessels loaded up tried to make a short landing in Marsascala. But the hardy Maltese gave them battle and drove away in a humilating defeat decided that improved Fortifications were necessary in this sensitive area. In that same year works were started and finish at Forti San Tumas, the huge Fortress that takes its name(like the second Bay of Marsascala) from St.Thomas church nearby. Probably the sign by the Maltese engineer Fra Vittorio Cassar, and later enlarged under Grand Master De Rohan, (late 18th century), this Fortress is indeed a landmark. Its served its purpose well over the centuries as a bulwark of defence of the population. Its is currently undergoing government restoration, as are many important structures all over Malta.Various small redoubts and Towers and Old Chapels surround Marsascala.

-35% deposit of rental fee to secure booking and the rest eight weeks before your stay.

CHANGEOVER DAY: the preferred changeover day is Saturday but it can be flexible on some periods of the year ( not in HIGH SEASON). CHECK -IN 3.00PM/ CHECK-OUT 9.00AM. LATE ARRIVALS AT PROPERTY AFTER 21.00 ARE SUBJECT OF A 30EUROS CHARGE.
