The Marrakech / Essaouira / Marrakech Region region

Morocco is a country where you can experience a taste of the exotic within a three- and a half hour flight from Europe. It is a country of stunning beauty, variety and is an all the year round destination that enjoys an extremely pleasant climate. It has sandy beaches to the north and west, the breathtaking Atlas Mountains, and a number of lively cities, in particular Marrakech, also known as the Pink City.
The Marrakech City / Medina area
Marrakech itself is a vibrant, cosmopolitan city that now offers a wide range of cafes, restaurants, night-clubs, bars, shops, cultural events and art galleries. There is also a good chance of rubbing shoulders with celebrities, given the thriving film industry and annual film festival.
However, there is one part of Marrakech that remains unique, the old town or medina. The medina is the famous bustling maze of market streets and alleyways where you can share endless cups of mint tea whilst bargaining for that carpet, these Moroccan leather slippers, that Saharan jewellery, chests, kaftans, and all manner of antiques. It also contains the beating heart of Marrakech, the Djemaa el Fna Square which is a UNESCO world heritage site and a showcase of traditional Moroccan life. This is where traditional music, dance, storytelling, eating and socialising have continued unchanged for centuries.
Monuments: Koutoubia Tower, Bahia and Badi Palaces, Ben Youssef Medersa
Museums: Dar Si Said, Marrakech Museum

This includes; trekking in the High Atlas mountains (either day trips or overnight stays) with experienced and reliable guides who will organise transfer to and from the Riad. Guestbook for Riad Linda
Read what our guests have said about us on Trip Advisor.
were met at the airport after our flight was delayed and taken straight to the riad. We were greeted with a warm welcome from Rachid and shown to our room. We stayed in the orange room which was lovely with a nice big bathroom. We had breakfast on the roof terrace which was delicious and on our way back to our room we met Linda the owner of the riad. She was so lovely and we expressed our delight at finding such a gem. We only stayed there as our original raid couldn't fit us in for the first night but I really wished we could have stayed there longer. The location is great and they have free wi fi too. Nothing was too much them! I would highly recommend. We are thinking of going for new year next year and would definitely stay there.

What a fantastic little gem riad Linda turned out to be. A haven of peace and quiet in the total mental and manic centre of Marrakech. The room ( douria ) was brilliant. The staff very nice and attentive ( 5* ). Didn't really know what to expect but had a fantastic time. Trip out to Ourika valley is a must. A day lounging at Oasiria is great to relax. Lets not forget about eating, the night market is a must, cheap but very nice, and the atmosphere is fantastic. The orange juice sellers in the market are an absolute must. If you want a beer or wine just ask Rachid and the fridge will be full of the stuff. Great for the afternoon wine/beer o'clock time. Basically we couldn't fault the riad or Marrakech.
