Home description

Riad Safran has been recently renovated in the traditional Moroccan style. It is situated in the centre of Marrakech and is only a 3 minute walk from the famous Place Djemaa al Fna. Located at the end of a very quiet cul de sac, once inside the riad you are far removed from the hustle and bustle of the medina and the souks. There are 4 traditionally decorated en suite bedrooms, a cosy living room, a spacious central courtyard and a sunny and secluded roof terrace. All rooms have air conditioning and heating and the living room has a log fire for the winter evenings.

Our staff are on hand to look after you, from arranging your transfer from the airport to arranging city guides, or excursions further afield. Breakfast is included in the price, and other meals are available on request.

The Marrakech / Essaouira / Marrakech Region

Marrakech is easily accessible from the UK, and has something for everyone. A mix of medieval and modern, with the ancient 11th century medina sitting alongside the new 20th century French built areas of Gueliz and Hivernage. Wander through the narrow streets of the old town, shopping in the maze of the souks, and visit the historical buildings located here. Evenings can be spent around the famous Place Djemaa al Fna, where the entertainment continues into the night, with open air food stalls, acrobats, jugglers and much more. Alternatively why not visit some of the modern restaurants and bars in the new town.
There are many places accessible from Marrakech on a day trip, such as the pretty coastal town of Essaouira, the Ourika Valley or the Atlas mountains.

Riad Safran is an oasis of calm in the madness that is Marrakech. This Riad cannot be faulted.

This little riad gave us the best service possible, at all times. I'd highly recommend this place if you're looking for a friendly place to crash that's still near the hustle & bustle of the Djeema.

What we found was in its price range the best riad we have ever stayed at [knocking spots off a lot of more expensive riads]. We can only say we highly recommend you give it a go you will not regret it.

We loved it! If you want a holiday location in the heart of the Medina, my wife and I would not hesitate to recommend Riad Safran. Adil (the manager) will very definitely look after all your needs whilst you are there and give you good local advice which is invaluable.
