Spacious, charming and private 3-bedroom villa with lovely garden and large pool. Tastefully designed by renowned architect Charles Boccara, the villa has a beautiful exterior courtyard and dining area.

The villa is situated in a secure development (Les Jardins de Touhina) with 24-hour security, only 25 minutes from the centre of Marrakech. The development has 37 villas with Clubhouse and Spa and mature communal gardens and walkways. Unusual for Marrakech, the villa offers complete privacy and is not overlooked.

The villa has 3 spacious ensuite bedrooms (two large and one slightly smaller), living and dining room and well-equipped kitchen, with hob, oven, dishwasher, washing machine, Nespresso coffee machine and other appliances. All rooms have air conditioning. There is also satellite TV and free internet access.

The garden has a medium-sized lawn area, mature plants and fruit trees. There is a large pool.

The villa is staffed with a maid (Touria) and a daily cleaning service is part of the package. Touria is also an excellent chef and produces wonderful Moroccan food. If you would like meals prepared for you notice the day before is preferred, although we do keep a store of ingredients for last minute requests. A 2 course lunch costs Pd. Stlg. 11 and 3 course dinner Pd. Stlg. 15 per person. Meals for children under 12 are half price. Touria will prepare breakfast at no charge on the first day of your stay. Thereafter you can either have Touria purchase and prepare breakfast at a cost of Pd. Stlg. 4 per person or you can prepare your own. A well stocked honesty bar is operated for beverages, which are very reasonably priced.

We can organise taxis to/from Marrakech. A taxi from the airport costs approximately MAD 250 (EUR 23) whilst the cost of a taxi to the town centre is approximately EUR 20 each way. We will provide you with a local mobile phone with useful numbers (i.e. taxi, local doctor, villa staff, etc). The number can be made available for your family upon confirmation of your booking.

The Marrakech/Essaouira region

The area is very interesting too with the most popular day trips from Marrakech being to the foothills of the High Atlas Mountains, in particular the Ouirgane Valley and Imlil. Both these places are scenically stunning, especially in the winter. It is not just the beauty of the mountains - the valleys are verdantly green and in spring full of almond blossom.

Should you wish to venture a little further afield, the Essaouira region on the coast with it´s spectacular long, sandy beaches and the charming town of Essaouira is an absolute must.

Marrakech City

Situated 25 minutes from the centre of Marrakech, this villa is ideal for those who want privacy, tranquillity and loads of space, and at the same time want to enjoy visiting the souks and street life of Marrakech.

The property is located in a small, secure development 10km outside Marrakech. The area goes by the name of Al Ouidane but is not marked on any map; Palmeraie being the closest area to the villa is about 10 minutes away. The setting is rural with olive trees, citrus fruits and other products being grown in the vicinity. The 'domaine' has 37 properties, each with its own private garden. There is also a Clubhouse and Spa. Designed by the renowned architect Charles Boccara, the domaine also features charming public gardens which are lovely for an evening stroll. The snow-capped High Atlas Mountains are clearly visible from the development, the views being most spectacular in winter.

The villa is a perfect base to explore Marrakech and its surroundings. In Marrakech, the souks are, in my opinion, the biggest attraction, being full of life and colour and providing an endless supply of fabulous Moroccan merchandise. However, away from the vast array of goods, craftsmen still ply their trade, especially in metalwork and woodwork. A visit to the square at Jemaa el Fna, a UNESCO heritage site, is also a must, especially in the evening when it comes to life with an array of snake charmers, magicians, acrobats and storytellers, as well as the open-air food stalls. The souks and the Jemaa are approximately a 25 minute drive from the villa.

The new town, Gueliz, is close to the souks. It has, of course, a completely different atmosphere. There are some excellent boutiques in Gueliz, especially for buying shoes, bags and general leatherwear.

Like most major cities, Marrakech is full of restaurants, offering an array of cuisine. The food stalls in the Jemaa are fun and good value. My favourite restaurant in the medina is Le Tanjia which cooks heavenly slow-cooked lamb (méchoui), Le Foundouk, near the Museum of Marrakech, is also excellent and is beautifully decorated. In Gueliz, Le Loft and Le Chat Qui Rit offer good quality French cuisine in a lively setting. The Moroccan restaurants tend to offer huge feasts, my favourites being Al Fassia and Dar Zellij. In the villa we have listed a huge array of restaurants, which we can book on your behalf. All the restaurants are approximately 25 minutes from the villa.

Marrakech is also known as the nightspot of the Arab world! It's a real surprise to many and, whilst we cannot claim to be experts in this field we understand the night life is fun and varied. Kosy Bar in the medina and Le Comptoir in the Hivernage district (with it´s bar and belly dancers) are good places to start the evening's festivities.

There is now a great choice of golf courses in Marrakech. Royal Golf and Amelkis are 15 minutes from the villa, whilst a further six courses are only 25 minutes away. We can organise golf tee-off times for you.

For children, the villa is a wonderful place to stay and run around and enjoy the pool. However, there are also other activities for the whole family including two water parks (which are comparatively empty) and an excellent zip wire park at Terres d'Amanar which is situated 45 minutes from Marrakech.

And, of course, for those more culturally enlightened, the Bahia and El Badi palaces, the Museum of Marrakech and the Majorelle Gardens, to name just a few attractions, will keep you interested.

So, the villa is well located for all the activities you may want to do. It is also a great place to relax and to escape - because whilst Marrakech is dynamic and fun, you do need some relaxation time!
