Camdibi Mahallesi, 'area of the pine trees' is a beautiful residential part of Marmaris, at the foot of the pine tree covered mountains. The best of both worlds - beautiful with a mountain vista but within minutes of the seafront, castle, marina's and the hustle and bustle of the bazaar. The old harbour with Turkish wooden gullets (where a gulet is available for hire for our visitors) is an ideal starting point to discover the islands and inlets of the surrounding coastline. A Mercedes 12 seater minibus is also available for our visitors to hire for day trips for their party to remote beaches and destinations unknown to the vast majority of tourists as well as for their transfers to and from Dalaman airport to the villa.
Hammams & beauty spas can be enjoyed at reasonable prices. Restaurants Jihan Okahbasi and Caravanserai on Icmeler Road and Armutalan, Cinar on Mugla road and Aspartam near Turunc and Pineapple in Netsel Marina are a few of our favourites that are excellent food and very reasonably priced.

The Turkish Aegean Coast region
The Turkish Riviera (also known popularly as the Turquoise Coast) is a term used to define an area of southwest Turkey encompassing the provinces of Antalya and Mu?la, and to a lesser extent Ayd?n, southern ?zmir and western Mersin. The combination of a favorable climate, warm sea, more than a thousand kilometers of shoreline along the Aegean and Mediterranean waters, and abundant natural and archeological points of interest makes this stretch of Turkey's coastline a popular national and international tourist destination.
Among the archeological points of interest are two of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World: The ruins of the Mausoleum of Maussollos in Halicarnassus; and the Temple of Artemis in Ephesus.
The Turkish Riviera is also the home for the internationally-known Blue Voyage, which allows participants to enjoy a week-long trip on the locally-built gulet type schooners to ancient cities, harbors, tombs, mausolea and intimate beaches in the numerous small coves, lush forests and streams that lace the Turquoise Coast.
The coastline is further regarded as a cultural trove that provides a fascinating mixture of factual and mythological individuals, conflicts and events, and has frequently been referred to in the folklore of various cultures throughout history. As such, it is regarded as the home of scholars, saints, warriors, kings, and heroes, as well as the site of numerous well-known myths. Mark Antony of the Roman Empire is said to have picked the Turkish Riviera as the most beautiful wedding gift for his beloved Cleopatra of Egypt. St. Nicholas, later known as Santa Claus, was born in Demre (ancient Myra), a small town close to present-day Antalya. Herodotus, accepted as the father of History, was born in Bodrum (ancient Halicarnassus) in c. 484 BC. The volcanic mountains to the west of Antalya, near Dalyan, are believed to have been the inspiration for the mythical Chimera - the firebreathing monster that Bellerophon slew.[2
Marmaris is a port town and tourist resort on the Mediterranean coast, located in Mu?la Province, southwest Turkey, along the shoreline of the Turkish Riviera.
Marmaris' main source of income is tourism. Little is left of the sleepy fishing village that Marmaris was just a few decades ago. Marmaris still retains its charm due to its exceptional location between two intersecting sets of mountains by the sea. The town's population was 30,957 in 2010 and peaks at around 300,000 to 400,000 people during the tourism season. Marmaris' nightlife rivals anything on the Turkish coast.
It is also a centre for sailing and diving, possessing two major and several smaller marinas. It is a popular wintering location for hundreds of cruising boaters. It is served by the nearby Dalaman Airport.
A visit to the Dalyan mudbaths, Kings Tombs and Turtle beach should not be missed. The Sunday market in Beldibi for fresh produce is also very interesting, various boat trips and boat taxis are an important part of discovering the unbelievable beauty of the coves and bays surrounding Marmaris. The local hammam for a wonderful exfoliation, soap massage followed by an oil massage close to the villa is definitely also not to be missed. The Turkish belly dancer and folk lore evening is also excellent value for money. We will compile a list of restaurants that we go to that are excellent food and excellent value for money where we know you will be looked after.
