The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region
Turkey is a beautiful country with lots of culture and history which you can learn about on the many trips and excursions offered or just enjoy the luxury of the traditional massages and baths. You'll find the locals extremely friendly and welcoming and the value for money incredible.
The Turquoise Coast area earns its name from the spectacular coastline in the region, with a combination of lots of fertile greenery and good, sandy beaches. The warm climate and beautfiful sea makes this the ideal place for a holiday in the sun, but those seeking an alternative should head inland to sample the 1,000 years of heritage the country has to offer at various ancient Lycian , Dorian or Roman sites. Highlights include those at Myra, Simena, and the Xanthos valley, and particularly the wonderful site at Olympos.
There are many boat excursions every day that take you to roman ruins ,tombs,mud baths to then cleanse yourself with hot springs.all these are very cheap in price and a full day out .
Marmaris / Beldibi area
Marmaris is originally a Greek word meaning glittering and shining and this is a very apt description. The beautiful harbour water front hosts many restaurants and bars where you can relax and take in the spectacular view. Netsel Marina is an important yachting centre full of romantic restaurants, shops and boutiques. One look at the yachts in the harbour will tell you that Marmaris is a stylish and cosmopolitan resort. The traffic-free promenade stretching from the marina all the way round the bay to Icmeler. It has a sophisticated 'Riviera' feel to it, vaguely reminiscent of St.Tropez.
Shopping in Marmaris is an experience in itself. Leather goods, gold, carpets and clothing are very very reasonably priced. It is essential to bargain, expect at least one third off the original price. The bazaar is a must for visitors, a rabbit warren of shops of every description, where the shopkeepers will try to entice you into their shops.
There are many beautiful islands and villages to visit. Gullets are the local boats used for boat trips and provide food and drink and a wonderful day out. All kinds of water sports are available on the beaches, diving is very popular, check to make sure the dive company have the correct qualifications and your travel insurance covers you for the particular sport.
There are many days out to be had, boat trips, jeep safaris & mud baths to name a few. Also, a must is a 'Turkish Bath' an experience not to be missed.

Fly from all regional airports to Dalaman, Marmaris is approx 1hr from Dalaman airport.
Flights are available all year round with onur air on H4U.com and yabanci.com and from April to November with thomascook, april to Oct with first choice/ excel.com, also try a1travel.com and Goldtrail.co.uk for those competitive deals.
Airport transfers to Marmaris are available on booking and can also be arranged separately. Cost approx £80.00 return for up to 6 passengers. Car hire is also cheap cost approx £20.00 per day which would also include transfers.
