The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region
During the day, people head for the beach to enjoy boat trips, parasailing, water skiing, sailing, scuba diving.
You can take advantage of the one of the boat trips that leave in the morning from the marina to scores of bays, Rhodes or Bodrum
You can also take in the sights of the ancient city of Ephesus. Or try Pamukkale, which is considered to be the 8th wonder of the world. The famous mud baths at Dalyan which is a must, also a turkish bath which is a experience not to be missed.
Marmaris / Armutalan area
Armutulan is a quieter area of Marmaris offering excellent restaurants and shops. The duplex is set back in a quiet location but is only 100 metres from a thriving area of restaurants and bars and less than 500 metres from Armutulan centre.
Hop on the local dolmus on the main road (35p) and within 5 minutes you reach Marmaris town centre with its stylish and cosmopolitan marina surrounded by sophisticated restaurants and boutiques, its long beaches and its vibrant night life.
If preffered you can opt to take a leisurely 15 minute stroll to the centre through Marmaris bustling streets, stopping to shop or having a drink in the many pavement cafe's and bars along the way.
How to get there
Flights are available all year round with Onur air on H4U.co.uk, and from April to November with flythomascook.com. April to October with Thomson / XL.com. Also try Goldtrail.co.uk for competitive deals.
Airport transfers from Dalaman to Marmaris are available and can be arranged separately at a cost of approx £100 return for up to 6 passengers (Journey time just over an hour).
Car hire is also reasonable at approx £20 per day.
