“A great place for a break” We stayed in Cherry Lodge in October 2010. It was warm, comfortable and inviting with all the amenities for a great holiday. Hazel was available at all times for any issues that arose and we were made to feel very welcome. We had a lovely walk on their farm and Cherry Lodge looks out onto a charming little walled garden with a barn and an apple tree that can be seen from the Kitchen Window. It is only a few minutes drive into Marlborough for supplies and there are some charming villages in the area. We drove to Bath, Stonehenge, Devizes, Swindon and Newbury while we visited. The cottage feels very private. Although fairly near the road, we didn't have any problems with noise. We had trouble finding the cottage due to the fact that Google Maps had the place marker in the incorrect place which I had fixed on our return home, but if you look for Postern Hill Campsite on the A346 you will find it almost across the road. I highly recommend this property for a break, we hope to return in the future.
