Key Info
  • Great for children of all ages 5
  • No pets allowed
  • Private garden

The Old Telephone Exchange is a carefully and tastefully renovated former telephone exchange building with a peaceful and private courtyard garden.

We are ideally placed for exploring everything that the beautiful county of Wiltshire has to offer, including Marlborough, Avebury, Stonehenge and the White Horses of Wiltshire.

A contemporary, comfortable and relaxing stay awaits your arrival.

Accommodation comprises one double bedroom, a bathroom and living/kitchen area (with 2 comfortable single sofa beds).

The living room is a great place to plan a trip to one of the many nearby tourist destinations. And at the end of a long day of walking, cycling or just good old-fashioned shopping, you can cuddle up in front of the telly together in one of our snuggle chairs, which also fold out into two single beds.

Enjoy a well-earned rest in our brand new bedroom suite, decorated in soothing tones to ensure your holiday is as relaxing as possible. Why not step out through the french windows into the pretty courtyard garden and enjoy an evening barbeque, or even a morning coffee in the summer months.

You can also relax in our contemporary bathroom. Either enjoy long a soak in the bath, or wash your cares away under the power shower. Tucked away in here you'll also find the washer-dryer, should you need to clean up after a long hike.

You'll be impressed by our Italian-designed hideaway kitchen. After dining, the hob, oven, fridge and sink (and even that pesky pile of washing up!) can be hidden away behind closed doors.

What We Offer

Just because we're self-catering, that doesn't mean you have to do everything yourself… At The Old Telephone Exchange we know that it's the little things that make a holiday that little bit better. When you've driven miles to get here, wouldn't it be nice to sit down with a glass of wine to get your holiday off to a good start…? And when you get in from a hike up the Giant's Grave, nobody really wants to start peeling potatoes and chopping onions… let us do it all for you!

• Our Welcome Pack

When you arrive you can expect the kitchen to be stocked with a loaf of bread, a continental breakfast for your first morning (croissants, jam, cereals etc.), a carton of fruit juice and a complimentary bottle of wine. Of course, you get to choose your preference of red or white before you arrive, and also choose between white or brown bread supplied by the lovely ladies at the bakery in the next village.

• Home-Cooked Meals*

Any day of the week, including the day you arrive, we can provide a home-cooked meal waiting for you in the kitchen. Just ask us for details when you make your booking, and be sure to tell us of any special dietary requirements.

• Baggage Forwarding*

For our customers either on a cycling or hiking tour, we can arrange for your baggage to be taken to your next stop, within a radius of 50 miles from us (although we could be persuaded to go a bit further, if you really are that keen!)

• Anything we haven't thought of?

If you're happy, we're happy, so please feel free to ask us about anything. We promise to do our best to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as we can!

Whatever kind of holiday you're planning, we think you'll find everything you need to enjoy the best of Wiltshire at The Old Telephone Exchange.

Thank you for taking the time to share your review of The Old Telephone Exchange - we're really glad that you liked the welcome pack. The Italian Hideaway Kitchen was such a great find - it took months to source something that could pack so much into such a small space! It still makes us smile every time we open the doors, even after 2 years!
