The Central Southern England region

The accomodation is set in the Kennet Valley, to the West of Marlborough and is in an excellent position for visiting Avebury,Stonehenge, Silbury Hill, West Kennet Long Barrow and all the related historical landmarks associated with the area. Also, there is walking on the Marlborough Downs which link via the Valley of the Stones to the Ridgeway and beyond. Savernake Forest and West Woods are within three miles and in the Summer a lot of guests enjoy the mystery of the abundant Crop Circles, very often right on the doorstep!

Marlborough

Marlborough, famed of old for it's wide High Street and more recently for the 'street Cafe culture', is architecurally very pleasing,as well as being vibrant and entertaining. The famous Marlborough College sits at the Western end, and the busy town centre runs Eastwards supporting at least two Market days every week. There are a wide range of shops and Cafes as well as Pubs, both in and around the surrounding villages, all of which serve food. The Jazz festival in early summer is a draw for many but the town supports many activities throughout the year, often combining with the local schools for cultural events.

All of this is an easy two mile walk for- those inclined-from the accomodation, or make use of your own transport or reliable local taxi services.
