“No. 9” is a unique and luxurious self catering cottage in the centre of the attractive and historic market town of Marlborough. It has all the luxuries of a 5 star bed and breakfast but without the breakfast! However a mini hamper is provided on arrival. It can be rented from a minimum of two nights.

This early 19th Century cottage was renovated in 2013 to a very high standard in a luxurious and contemporary style.

“No, 9” is in an ideal location for exploring the vibrant market town of Marlborough with its wide variety of independent and chain shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants.

The cottage has its own parking space which is approximately a 2-3 minute walk from the cottage.

The Wiltshire region

The lively market town of Marlborough lies in the valley of the River Kennet between the Marlborough Downs and Savernake Forest in North East Wiltshire. It is in easy reach of Junction 15 of the M4. Marlborough is a fantastic base for exploring Wiltshire's beautiful and historic countryside by car, bicycle or on foot. Much of the surrounding area has been designated as an area of outstanding natural beauty.

Marlborough has one of the widest high streets in England which is lined on both sides with characterful old buildings housing an array of good quality shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs.

Marlborough market is held on Saturdays and Wednesdays.

Local Events

Throughout the year there are a number of local events including the International Jazz Festival (July), Marlborough Collage Summer School (July-August), Marlborough Mop Fairs (October), Festival of Food (October) and a host of other events including concerts at Marlborough College, art exhibitions/open studios, Barbury Horse Trials etc.

Within a very short drive of Marlborough is the World Heritage Site of Avebury with its ancient stone circle and the beautiful Savernake Forest. A little further afield are the pretty towns of Hungerford, Devizes, Cirencester and Tetbury. Salisbury, Bath, Bristol, Stonehenge, Longleat and Oxford are all within an hour's drive and London is just over an hour away.

Bristol and Heathrow are the nearest airports. Swindon, Hungerford and Great Bedwyn are the nearest railway stations.
