Marina di Cerveteri area
Marina di Cerveteri is located in Latium, between Rome and Civitavecchia, (respectively 40 Km and 35 km), near Via Aurelia and the Tirrenium Sea. It is a town with marked touristic and residential characteristics, made up of villas and flats immersed in a thick framework of vegetation. The climate is mild and it allows enjoying the sandy beaches. of volcanic origins, with ferrous sands of characteristic black colour, also beyond the summer period. On a surface of 1, 3 square kilometres there are 35 swimming pools, 13 tennis courts, 3 sporting clubs with recreational facilities, windsurf, minigolf, soccer fields, bowling, and discos, pubs. The latter represents the most important Etruscan burial site and one of the most complex architectural structures of ancient history. Also the surroundings are magnificent, the area called “Sasso” and the castle belonging to the Patrizi family (3 Km away), the ancient fortress of Ceri (10 Km away), the village and the Santa Severa Castle, located on the sea (3 Km away), the lake of Bracciano (25 km away), the remains of the medieval Torre Flavia at Ladispoli, near the WWF oasis.
How to get there
Arrival from the motorway BOLOGNA FIRENZE ROMA: arrival in Rome with the motorway, exit Rome North follow the indications to the GRA ( grande raccordo anulare) in direction of the airports, exit at the motorway intersection with the indication “ Aurelia Civitavecchia”; continue on the Aurelia until you meet the motorway Roma Civitavecchia, turn down the street and from the motorway Rome Civitavecchia exit in Cerveteri. At th exit to Cerveteri follow the Aurelia direction Civitavecchia and continue on the Aurelia in direction Civitvecchia for about 4 km, you find on your left Marina di Cerveteri Arrival from the airport Leonardo da Vinci ( Fiumicino): exit from the airport and take the direction Rome and soon you’ll find on your right indications to the motorway Roma Civitavecchia, continue on the motorway in direction Civitavecchia exit in Cerveteri. At the exit to Cerveteri follow the Aurelia direction Civitavecchia for about 4 km, you find on your left Marina di Cerveteri. By train: Rome From Termini Station to Marina di Cerveteri station.
