The turquoise sea and breezy café life of Talamanca Beach is just 300 metres away and you can enjoy a pleasant walk along the promenade of Paseo Maritimo to lively Ibiza Town. Ferry services operate from Marina Botafoc to all parts of the island - a popular way to explore the quieter side of Ibiza.

“Perfect” We stayed with our girls of 5 and 3, it was perfect for us, we know this area pretty well but had never visited with our children before. Great location for shops/restaurants and beach, Talamanca beach literally 5 minutes walk away (unlike a few other beaches in Ibiza, its low key, no music blaring out of bars, just very relaxed, great for kids, but you still manage to feel the Ibiza vibe, waiter/waitress service from restaurants futher down the beach as long as you pay for a sunbed), Marina Botafoch same distance, more upmarket restaurants/bars but added bonus of playground nearby and free viewing of the amazing yachts and boats, plus apartment is within walking distance of the 2 stops for boat to Ibiza Town. Ground floor apartment so it's easy to nip back when the girls needed the toilet/toys, well equipped and comfortable and would definitely book again. We got to meet and befriend a few families who owned apartments, whilst we stayed it was predominantly Spanish/Italian/French families which we didn't mind at all, kids all played together. Loved the strictness of the security guards although they are not over powering (no inflatables/glassware/music by the pool), we witnessed two guys who wandered down to the pool in the afternoon with their bottle of champagne and i-Pod player who were swiftly sent straight back to their room, the only noise is people chatting and kids laughing. But if you do want to go out, Pacha is within walking distance ! Keepers Bar (on roundabout past Pacha towards Ibiza town, Madrigal, Bubbles (Marina BOtafoch) are recommended as well as Hostal Talamanca, also Sa Punta, great terrace for grown ups or book lunch for Sunday and they provide entertainment for kids (trampoline, bouncy castle, face painting etc). you wont need a car unless you really want to get out and about, we know and like Blue Marlin/Jockey Club etc from our pre-children holidays here, but we made the most of and thoroughly enjoyed a low key, but more fulfulling side of Ibiza. We'll be back again next year ...

IMPORTANT FLASH

Due to Ryan Air flying direct to Ibiza throughout winter, the apartment is now available for the whole of this period at reduced rates, There are three weekly flights Thursday, Saturday and Tuesday, and with weather up to 70 degrees as late as December the island is at it's best in the winter. Pacha is open at the weekend throughout the year, with the real Ibizan music. Shopping carries on in the winter too, with most of Ibiza Town , San Antonio and Santa Eulalia remaining open, If you come to Ibiza in the winter don't head for the same old places. Go to where the locals go and see the other side of Ibiza, the one which is kept secret.
