The large 100 sq m ski in ski out apartment is situated just a few metres from the piste in the Hochkonig ski area. This area is one of Austria’s best kept secrets and is yet to be discovered by many of the major tour operators so there are little or no queues!. There are 39 modern lifts and numerous mountain restaurants to choose from, many of which are open in the summer months for walkers and mountain bikers. There are several golf courses within an hours drive so it is perfect for golfers.
The apartment benefits from the free use of the recently refurbished swimming pool & sauna. From the balconies on both levels there are stunning views so perfect for dining al fresco. Situated in a quiet & peaceful locaction , but within a few minutes easy access to all amenities, including restaurants for eating out. With 3 separate sleeping areas the apartment is ideal for families, with plenty to see & do in the surrounding area

The apratment is on the top 2 floors of a well kept apartment building. The upper floor comprises 2 bedrooms , a sleeping gallery on a mezzanine, an exceptionally spacious living room with seating for upto 9 people and leading from the lounge a balcony that runs the length of the apartment. There is a bathroom with bath & shower On the lower floor the entrance lobby has space to hang & store outdoor clothing, separate toilet and a kitchen & dining area which seats 6/8 people.
There are wonderful views over the mountain ranges ‘Hochkönig’ and ‘Steinernen Meer’ from the balconies on both levels. In the apartment building there is free use of a large recently refurbished indoor swimming pool and Sauna. Also available are a games room, a bowling alley, heated ski/boot storage & free WIFI internet access in the lounge on lower floor.

The extensive ski area of Hochkönigs Winterreich has 39 lifts and 150 km of connected tracks. It is part of the huge Ski Amade ski area (860km of trails and 258 lifts) For a few additional euros you can upgrade your ski pass to the Salzburg Superski pass which will cover as far afield as Kitzbuhel and Zell am See. In summer you can enjoy the wonderful walking trails in one of the most beautiful mountain ranges of the European Alps. Close by are a number of Golf courses located in truly magnificent settings. The temperature in July and August is often above 80F allowing you to comfortably enjoy the outdoor pool in Maria Alm and relax by the local Lakes. There are many other activities and places of interest in the local area including Rafting, canyoning, Ice caves and magnificent waterfalls
The Maria Alm / Hintermoos area
The stunning village of Maria Alm, which nestles at the foot of the 3,000m high Hochkonig mountain, is situated in one of the most spectacular parts of Salzburgerland. The snow usually falls here first with Hinterthal having one of the best snow records in Austria usually opening the lifts in late November. The village of Maria Alm itself has won awards for being the most beautiful village in the region. The ski area stretches from Saalfelden via Maria Alm, Aberg, Hintermoos and Hinterthal, on as far as Dienten and then to Muhlbach am Hochkonig. A free ski bus links Hintermoos with Hinterthal which opens up a vast ski area around Dienten and Muhlbach for all grades of skier.
The area is a fantastic base for summer holidays. Just some of the activities include: Outdoor Pool and Fitness Centre, Mountain Biking, Hiking, White Water Rafting, Canyoning, Canoeing and Hydro Speeding.Golfers are well catered for in this area with 5 championship courses within a 20 mile radius. Why not plan your visit to coincide with the village festival in August or the Herbsfest when the cows are brought down from the high pastures.

Salzburg is the nearest airport approximately 1 hr drive away. Both Ryan air & Thomsonfly fly into Salzburg daily. Easyjet fly into Munich - approx 4 hours drive away. Other airlines fly to Innsbruck - 2 hour drive
Car hire is available from Salzburg airport for under €30 per day if booked in advance - try travelsupermarket.com for the cheapest deals.
There are regular buses and rail links during the day from the airport to Saalfleden and connecting buses to Maria Alm & Hintermoos, Journey times are around 2.5 hrs
