The Hochkönig skiing area is Austria’s best kept secret and yet to be discovered by major tour operators, with a huge skiing/walking area not crowded by package holiday makers! There are 39 modern lifts and an amazing 37 restaurants to choose from, many of which are accessible directly from the chalet and many are open in the summer for walkers and mountain bikers. Also our area is a mecca for golf with over ten Golf clubs within an hour radius.

Only one hour from Salzburg there is plenty to do and see. Salzburg is a beautiful city, Krimml waterfalls are a must, there are ice caves nearby, even a glacier to summer ski! Plus as much golf as you can play!
Maria Alm / Hinterthal area
Our accommodation is based in the magnificent Hochkönig mountain region, one of Austria’s most beautiful areas. This area is well known amongst the Austrians but relatively undiscovered by the British. The summer season runs from early June to late September where there are endless activities to enjoy.
How to get there
Getting to Haus Salzburg could not be easier nowadays. There are plenty of cheap flight from the UK to Salzburg, only one hour from our accommodation.

Hi, we made it back absolutely on schedule to be greeted with horizontal rain and a flat battery! Luckily battery was cured, but rain persisted. By the way, Carl, if anyone asks about petrol stations, there is a BP garage immediately before the airport at Salzburg.Just to say thank you very much for a delightful stay.
