Home description
The Loft has recently undergone a major refurb and now could be classed as 5 star accommodation. Changes include: new double bed (with English style duvet), new bunks, new sofa bed, all new wardrobes and a brand new massage shower, and the room has luxury underfloor heating. There is a very sunny balcony overlooking the ski area opposite. British Sky TV is now installed and there is a ski cellar available. The loft apartment is a blend of old and new and still retains that Austrian rustic feel with its high ceilings, decor and wooden panelling. Located in a very typically Austrian town that is unspoilt, the apartment compliments its surroundings very appropriately.

The Austrian Alps / Salzburgerland / Salzburgerland region
Nestling in a green, unspoiled, natural landscape in front of a backdrop of the Steinerne Meer range and the Hochkönig, lies Maria Alm with its two mountain villages, Hintermoos and Hinterthal.
With the mountain villages Hintermoos and Hinterthal, Maria Alm offers impressive views of the magnificent Steinernes Meer and the mighty Hochkönig. The skiing region stretches across Maria Alm, Aberg, Hintermoos, Hinterthal as far as Dienten and Mühlbach am Hochkönig.
Maria Alm area
Summer: The area is a fantastic base for summer holidays. Just some of the activities include: Outdoor Pool and Fitness Centre, Mountain Biking, Championship 18 hole Golf Course on your doorstep, Summer Skiing, Windsurfing and Sailing or just plain old balcony sunbathing! After you have booked your holiday with us we can exclusively arrange the services of a friendly local guide who can offer fantastic outdoor activities such as Hiking, White Water Rafting, Canyoning, Canoeing and Hydro Speeding, all in the local area. Please contact me for details.
Winter: Maria Alm is a wonderful ski area, with it's neighbour Hinterthal and other villages of Dienten and Mühlbach - all of which can be skied on the same lift pass. You really get a feeling here of skiing from resort to resort. The snow usually falls here first with Hinterthal having one of the best snow records in Austria usually opening the lifts in late November.
As well as the 150 km of fantastic ski slopes, the Hochkonig Winterreich offers much more to the winter time visitor. For the cross country skier here you'll find 30 km of marked trails. The non-skiers are well catered for with curling, winter walks, sleigh rides, flood lit toboggan runs and Ice skating.
The local indoor swimming pool is only a ten minute walk away and is open all year round. The water park is open in the summer months only and is located about a twenty minute walk or a short drive away. Other local facilities available include: Public sauna, Fitness centre, Tennis and Massage.
Public transport is available right opposite the apartments. This makes accessing the whole area very easy to do, be it in Summer or Winter time. The area immediately around the apartments is superb for Walking, Hiking and Mountain Biking.
