Second to third floor split level apartment on the seafront at Margate with breath taking views from the living room and kitchen dining area. The apartment was fully refurbished in 2007 and has been equipped and furnished to a high standard to offer a unique holiday escape.


Temeraire Court is on the seafront at the Cliftonville end of Margate. The apartment was refurbished in 2007 and is within the former Fort Lodge hotel. The original building reflects Margates Georgian hertitage as a holiday destination for prosperous Londoners. The apartment is 1 minutes walk from the seafront and is perfectly situated for the town and main beach attractions and for the fabulous quiet beaches at Walpole and Palm Bay.

We offer seaside breaks all year round, you can enjoy the sea air and return to a really comfortable, stylish apartment. The kitchen is fully equipped or you can take a short walk to the restaurants and bistros in the harbour and old town.

The apartment is on the Cliftonville seafront and offers sea views from the sash windows to the lounge and kitchen. It is equipped with all you need for a family holiday, friends get together or romantic break for two.

wifi/ internet access is included through a secure network.

Margate is easy access by road, rail or ferry (via the Ramsgate /Ostend link) or by the Eurotunnel from Folkestone. We are approximatley 1.5 hours from Stansted, London City and Gatwick by road and 2 hours from Heathrow or 10 minutes from Ramsgate harbour and 40 minutes from the Ashford International railway station. there is an excellent bus service serving the local area and offering a frequent service to nearby Broadstairs, Ramsgate and the new shopping and entertainment centre at Westwood Cross.

The apartment has a double bedroom with and addtional boot room for luggage storage, a large living room with chaise corner sofa bed (perfect for the sunset moments), and a well equipped kitchen with dishwasher, washer/ dryer, microwave and espresso machine so that you can enjoy lazy mornings looking out to sea from the dining area. Gadgets include a digital LCD TV with CD/ DVD player and surround sound system, i-pod dock, bedroom wall hi-fi radio/ CD player, espresso machine and wifi access.

The apartment is accessed from the second loor landing via a narrow communal staircase. There is a further staircase after the front door up to the bootroom at half landing level and the main apartment landing area with the entry phone and a console table. The living room, bedroom and bathroom are accessed from the landing and the kitchen has large double doors into the living room offering privacy and sociable cooking.

Living room- 3 seater corner Chaise with double sprung sofabed, tub chair, coffee tables and drawer storage, digital 26 inch LCD TV, CD/DVD player, surround sound system, lighting and 2 sash windows with panoramic sea views. Blackout roman blinds and mirrors.

Kitchen- Gas/ electric cooker and hob,microwave oven, kettle, toaster, espresso/ capuccino maker, dishwasher, washing machine/ tumble dryer, glass table and 4 chairs, AM/FM radio and IPod dock (suits all MP3 payers). Fully equipped with cutlery, crockery, glasses and cookware. Sash window to dining area with panoramic sea views

Bedroom- Double bed, wardrobe and drawer storage, dressing table, wall mounted CD/ radio stereo system with alarm, hairdryer, 2 sash windows with views over Margate roof tops

Bathroom- oversize shower bath with shower over, sink and toilet, heated towel radiator and extractor fan

Boot room- additional hanging space, shoe and coat racks, space for luggage storage

We also have an iron + ironing board and vacuum cleaner and travel cot for your use. We can also provide a play pen/ stairguard on request

The rental includes towels and linens (changed weekly for longer stays) and all heating costs. We will welcome you with wine, tea, coffee and milk.

The sea front is approximately 150 metres from the main front door and the living room and kitchen windows over look the quiet sandy beaches away from Margate's main beach.

PARKING There is free parking on the street outside the building and on nearby streets. Spaces are usually easy to find but there are also 2 nearby car parks at approxiately £3 for 24 hours.

Please note that the apartment is accessed from the second floor with further stairs within the apartment and might not be suitable for everyone.
