The Poitou-Charentes / Vendee / Vendee region

Mareuil sur Lay area
Mareuil sur lay is at the heart of the upcoming Vendee wine country. Wine tasting is available from 3 different caves within walking distance. Just a stones through from the rivers Lay and Mareuillet fishing and walking are extremely popular. The numerous beaches of the Vendee are just 30 minutes away by car where surfing, wind surfing, kite surfing and just lying around in the glorious sunshine are popular activities. The pretty market town of Lucon is 10 minutes away by car and the bustling capital of the Vendee, La Roche sur Yon just 30 minutes north.

Further details indoors: This is a home from home warm in the winter and deliciously cool in the summer, ground floor is tiled throughout, laminated wood floors upstairs this is a family home and is furnished accordingly. Huge master bedroom has a double bed with room for a single and a cot plus a wardrobe, and dressing table. 2nd bedroom has a double bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers. Both overlook the pretty market square. 3rd bedroom/mezzanine as room for 2 further single beds and overlooks the charming back garden. Accommodation is perfect for 4 adults and 2/3 children.
