Marco Island is located as far South as you can go on the West Coast of Florida.

A sun-drenched jewel on the edge of the Gulf of Mexico, Marco Island features six miles of beach and over 100 miles of waterways within its 24 square miles. Marco Island is the largest Barrier Island within Southwest Florida’s Ten Thousand Islands area extending from Marco Island to Cape Sable. It lies within the subtropical to tropical climate zone and experiences a distinct wet and dry season with most of the rainfall occurring between the months of June and October. How to get there
There are several ways to get to Marco Island and Naples. If you are in the U.S.A. or Canada most airlines (from large cities) fly into RSW (Regional Southwest) in Ft. Myers, Florida. The other option is to fly into FLL in Ft. Lauderdale. The drive is directly across the state and takes about 2 hours. All of these airports have car hires that are economical.
If you are coming from Europe, LTU flies directly into RSW (Regional Southwest) which is Ft. Myers. Miami international airport is also only 2 hours away. You can also land in Oralando / Sanford and the drive is 3 to 4 hours.
