About this location
The Edinburgh region
Marchmont is a buzzing area, particularly at Festival Time, being a stone's throw from many Fringe venues and a very pleasant short walk across the Meadows to two of the main Fringe hubs, George Square and Potter Row, Edinburgh University Union. Most nights during the Festival the Tattoo, with its fantastic firework display, takes place on the Castle Esplanade, only 15 minutes walk from the flat. The High Street has much to offer too with many stalls selling unusual items, cafes and bars.
Marchmont has more than its fair share of quirky places to eat and drink. Annother very agreeable walk, this time across Bruntsfield Links , takes you to Bruntsfield Place where there are more good places for gift shopping, eating and drinking.
There is a very well stocked mini-mart a minute's walk away from the flat and an excellent independent coffee shop with outside seating two minutes walk away.
it is a safe area and our wide, leafy street is a haven in amongst the buzz.
