Thank you for taking the time to leave a lovely review, we are so pleased you enjoyed yourselves. And a very well made point about the dogs, if all dog owners were respectful, I am sure there would be much more dog friendly accommodation out there.
See you again soon.

Thanks for taking the time to leave the review.
I will look into this situation as soon as possible, (which will be Friday when the present guests vacate), we have had two other guests in the lodge since and they have not given the same feedback, otherwise we would have look into the situation earlier. If you only had alerted us to your issues on arrival, we could have rectified the problem immediately.
It is very clear on our website and on other sites we advertise on that the fishing isn't included in the price, we also advertise the fishing prices, and there IS a concession for residents and even cheaper for resident OAP's. I am glad your husband had a great time fishing and you thought the lodge and site was lovely.

"High quality cabin with great facilities and classy decor for relatively cheap."
I almost don't want to write this review as I feel I've found a real gem of a place.
I stay in a lot of high end hotels while I travel with work and I have to say this place compares very favourably. Everything was really spot on about this place - the cabin had real class right through to the little touches of having some wine and brownies left to welcome us. The stay is suitable for those wanting a romantic weekend away or a small group of friends.
I'd certainly recommend this place to a small family or couple looking to get away from it all for a weekend or so.Although I'd recommend this place primarily to couples, the cabins are suitable to cater to a small family aswel.
I would say that the website doesn't do the cabin justice and there were no pictures of the hot tub (2/3 cabins have their own private hot tub).
The staff were great; helpful, friendly and really made our stay. We only wish we could have stayed longer.
We leave feeling refreshed and already planning our next visit.
