This apartment is furnished throughout to a very high standard, bathrooms and kitchen having high quality fittings, also benefits from marble floors. There is a large balcony area with high quality furnishings and wonderful views to the sea, mountains and the forest. The elevated position of El Bosque gives spectacular views down to the coast line, you can wake up in the morning and watch a spectacular sunrise over the mediteranean sea from your bed!
The village of Elviria is only a ten minute drive away and is packed with excellent local restaurants, bars and shops. La Mariena is a 20 minute walk (5minute drive) up the hill and has two superb restaurants. El soto golf club has a superb restaurant with regular evening entertainment. Marbella is a twenty minute drive away with fantastic shopping opportunities. You are only a ten minute drive away from fabulous sandy beaches including the famous Nikki beach. You are within easy reach of seven of Marbella's finest golf courses including the famous 36 hole golf course - La Cala and the 18 hole Santa Maria. Free golf at El Soto golf club and we provide ladies and gents golf clubs also tennis courts and gym with equipment provided at the apartment.

The main feedback we get from our guests is the peacefull location and the stunning views from the balcony, one guest described it as 'paradise'! The apartment is furnished to a very high standard and really well equipped. To make the most of you free membership to the El Soto golf club, we provide you with 2 sets of golf clubs and tennis rackets.
The apartment offers two bathrooms, one with full size bath and shower over, the second bathroom having a walk in shower. The master bedroom has independent access to the verandah. The community is maintained to a very high standard and very secure with electric security gates to the main entrance and a video entrance system to your the apartment.

There is a large terrace area with terrace furniture and the elevated position gives spectacular views down to the coast line.
You will have full use of the large communal swimming pool, including children's pool, the communal areas are kept to a very high standard which are very pleasantly landscaped.

The apartment is in a community of only 55 apartments in the centre of the biosphere cork wood forest and is therefore in a very peaceful tranquil location. The complex is very secure and the apartment has its own video entrance system.
Guests have free membership to the El Soto Golf and Leisure facilities just a few minutes away with its gym, tennis courts, Jacuzzi pool, Sauna, 9 hole pitch and putt and children's play area. The club house serves excellent food - reservations recommended at weekends.
We provide a set of both ladies' and gents' golf clubs for your free use, in the apartment.
All linen and towels (including pool and beach towels) are provided and some toiletries. Please request prices for mid week cleaning and linen changes.

The area has a good climate all year round, benefiting from mild winters. The location is very convenient giving you the best of both worlds, choose quiet relaxation or hustle, bustle and excellent nightlife just a short drive away.

Marbella Old Town – some lovely traditional restaurants particularly around Naranjos Square.
Ronda – one of the most visited ‘white villages’ in Spain – the famous gorge is here along with a Michelin starred restaurant!
Puerto Banus – home of ‘super-yachts’ and fast cars. Good for people watching and very lively. Very expensive though but just about every designer store resides here – Louis Vuitton, Dior, Armani, Roberto Cavalli etc.
Marbella Old Town – some lovely traditional restaurants particularly around Naranjos Square.
Istan – inland beauty spot. You can kayak on the lakes here or take a guided 4 x 4 trail – both of these should be bookable at the small travel agent down in Elviria.
Gibralter is only 45 minutes drive away, it is also easy to arrange trips to Tangiers and marrakech.
here are many activities in the area for children including water parks, zoo's, go karting, there has recently opened an adventure park in Elviria where both adults and children can zip line around the forest.
There is also Zoo at Fuenigirola and a water park.
The Marbella / Elviria area
The location of this property makes car hire essential although there is a taxi service available on site, there is a 6KM drive up to the property via a hillside road, the drive is spectacular giving the most amazing views across both the coastal and mountain area. La Mariena village is approximately 2 KM drive further up the hill and offers 2 restaurants Kudu and Altitude both offering a very good menu, the views from the al fresco dining areas of both restaurants give spectacular views of the surrounding area - As the name of one of the restaurants suggests you have the benefits of elevation offering panoramic views. The area is very popular for walking as it takes you through the biosphere forest and the protected corkwood trees. There is a shortcut down a dirt track road taking you down to La Cala golf club just a few minutes drive away. At the bottom of the hill (6KM) is Elviria village offering a good selection of supermarket, shopping and restaurant facilities. A Drive over the bridge of the main road brings you to the famous Nikki Beach and the Don Carlos hotel. Elviria beach stretches for miles...........and miles. It is known for having the finest, sandy beaches along the coast of Marbella with good water sport facilities, surrounded by luxury and new developments. The sunbathing on beaches generally becomes popular from late May until late September. This is when the Chiringuitos (beach bars) start to open. The sun beds are set out and the paddle rafts and jet skis are prepared for the season. There is a noticeable increase in beach popularity during the school holidays and especially in July and August when many residents from Madrid and other cities Spain arrive on the coast for their annual holiday.
During the winter season the beaches are enjoyed mainly by walkers, joggers and fishermen. Sunbathing is sometimes possible in the winter months as well. On one of the frequent blue sky and non-windy days it will be warm enough to sunbathe and you will have the beach to yourself. With in excess of 330 days a year of sunshine, sizzling Summers with long warm evenings, beautiful Springs and Autumns, when you continue to spend most of your time outside and mild Winters which are the envy of Northern Europe, you will be living in the most healthy of climates. There’s no better place to be in the sun than on the beach and Elviria's coast has miles and miles of, golden sand. Spend the day, have a fabulous seafood lunch in a beach front Chiringuito, take in the water sports or simply find a quiet spot for some serious sunbathing!
Don Carlos Beach Club is located directly on Elviria's beach. Rated by many as the best in Southern Spain, the Don Carlos Beach Club is a tropical paradise. From April to October, cocktails are served beside the magnificent azure pool with its cascading waterfalls and shady palms, swimming pools, restaurant, and deckchairs down on the beach. The abundance of facilities, the wonderful climate and the hospitality of the people make this area absolutely ideal for sport lovers. Water sports enthusiasts can choose from a variety of activities including Water-skiing, Wing Surfing, Jet Skies, Ski-bus, Wet Bikes, Canoes, Pedal Boats and Sailing with expert tuition from a team of professional instructors. No wonder 'going to the beach' is the single most popular recreational activity for tourists and residents alike. The nearest beach is at Elviria, back down the mountain to the central shops in Elviria and across road to other side. Keep going straight until you get to the beach. A nice bar called Toni’s is a good spot for lunch and sun beds can also be hired there. If you want something more extravagant the Hotel Don Carlos is worth visiting as it has two excellent pools and restaurants plus is close to the famous Nikki Beach (great for Sunday lunch!)
Cabopino also has a good beach and is nice in evenings as like a quieter version of Puerto Banus. La Cala is slightly further away towards Malaga airport and Benalmadena is also about 30 minutes away
Both are lively holiday resorts and Benalmadena has a huge marina flanked by shops and a big Sea Life Centre. Going the other way (towards Marbella) is Funny Beach which has Go-Karts and other amusements which is also a good stop off point for a swim and bite to eat.
For a real treat you can go to the private beach club at the famous Marbella Club – they do a Sunday brunch which is all you can eat – its a lovely setting and although its around 70 euros per head (fixed price) this does include lobster or even traditional Sunday lunch if you prefer. You will need to book though. The beach and pool facilities here are excellent as one of the Leading Hotels of the World Group.
Shopping:
If you want a large superstore then El Corte Ingles is worth going to and is along similar lines to John Lewis. There are two close, one in Fuengirola and the other Marbella which can be seen from the motorway. Down in Elviria centre for general day to day things you will find Opencor and another supermarket directly opposite which has a number of bars/restaurants and a bank with ATM. There is also an Indian takeaway in Elviria.
La Canadas is the big indoor shopping centre like an American Mall. This is on A-7 towards Marbella and you will see big green sign on right hand side and is only 15 minutes away.

We have just returned from a wonderful week in El Bosque. The apartment was immaculate and had everything we needed and more. It was spacious and comfortable and tastefully decorated. The large balcony had tables and chairs as well as loungers for relaxing evenings. It was handy having a washing machine and tumble dryer as well as sky tv, dvd player and wifi. The weather was amazing which allowed us to spend lots of time at the on site pool. It was very quiet when were there and often we had the pool to ourselves. The small children's pool was perfect for our sons who had a great time. Access to the facilities at El Soto is included which has a golf course, putting area, children's play area and tennis courts all of which we used during our stay. Again, they were not busy so we could just turn up and play. There are a couple of restaurants 10 minutes walk away up the hill otherwise you need to go down to elviria which is 10 minutes drive. This is perhaps the only downside however the pay off is the peaceful setting and picturesque views. The complex is secure and has an allocated parking space too. Elviria is a good base for visiting Marbella and the surrounding area, it is less than an hour from Malaga airport. I would definately recommend this apartment and found dealing with the owners very easy, they have been friendly and accomdated all our needs. |
