The Costa del Sol/Malaga region
Costa del Sol is one of the warmest parts of Spain, due to its proximity to Africa. You can enjoy hot sunny weather throughout the year. The region has beautiful sandy beaches and some of the best golf courses in the world where big competitions are held. Nearby Malaga has a great history and wonderful museums and art galleries, it also hosts some of the best festivals in Spain.
There are also many parks and actvities for children! There is a wonderful safari park in Torremolinos, for example, and Fuengirola has a children's zoo. The massive Tivoli World theme park in Benalmadena is also extremely popular and is great fun for both children and adults!
Mijas Pablo is one of the most fantastic village up in the mountains with views not to be missed. It is a wonderful place to visit also with many bars and restaurants and some amazing shops. It is a great place to buy all sorts of leather goods.
Ronda is about an hour and a half away and is also a very charming historical town to visit with cobbled streets and old buildings. There are many hotels there where people stay for the night when they go sightseeing.
Marbella / Elviria area
The villa is ideally situated with many local restaurants and bars within walking distance and great shops for groceries. Elviria is a lovely quiet area with plenty of amenities and gorgeous beaches. It is a safe and friendly place for the whole family.
A quick 5 minute drive and you will find yourself in Marbella with its many famous historical features including the famous Dali sculptures which are set up amidst beautiful fountains near the lovely sandy beaches. There are wonderful shops, restaurants and bars, and also an old typical Spanish square called "Plaza las Naranjas". Like other towns in the region, Marbella hosts many festivals all year round. There is also a shopping Centre complete with bowling alley and an 8-screen cinema.
Marbella also has many types of golf courses from 9 to 18 holes all with beautiflly maintained grounds. There are also many driving ranges which everyone can have fun on. The Santa Maria Golf and Country Club is only 3 minutes by car while the Rio Real Golf Club is 5 minutes away and the Miraflores Country Golf Club is a 15-minute drive.
A 15-minute drive will take you to Puerto Banus, a most wonderful port to see where the rich and famous have their boats and yachts and a beautiful place to walk around in. There are lovely restaurants, bars, high-class boutiques and many many other things of interest there.
Not very far from Marbella there is also a lovely place called Selwo which has many dolphins and lots of animals, great for adults and children. Other places of interest are Cappapino Port (8 minutes) and La Cala, Fergell, and Torremolinos which are all just a 15 minute drive away.
How to get there
All low cost airlines fly frequently to Malaga. The villa is situated 35 minutes from Malaga International Airport.

There are three spacious bedrooms, two of which have en suite bathrooms. The large master bedroom has a great dressing area leading from its very large luxurious en suite bathroom with sunken bath and walk-in showers all new with the latest power showers. There is a further room with twin beds, ideal for children or extra guests!
The kitchen is open planned with doors leading out to the sunny terrace. It is fully equipped including hob and oven, dishwasher, microwave, and washing machine.
