San Pedro de Alcántara is in an ideal situation, just 10 minutes drive west of bustling Marbella yet just a few minutes drive away from the natural beauty of the Sierra de Ronda mountain range and 20 km from the town of Estepona. Puerto Banus is 5 minutes drive away with all the attractions this well known destination has to offer.
Go to the central plaza in San Pedro with its parish church and surrounding narrow streets which are packed with intriguing small shops, sidewalk cafes and bars. Thursday is street market day with all the associated hustle and bustle.
There is a pleasant walk from the centre of town to the beachfront along the Avenida del Marques del Duero which is a particularly attractive wide avenue flanked by palm trees. And the modern wide promenade is ideal for continuing your stroll with several excellent chiringuitos (beachside restaurants) specialising in fish dishes.

Travelling to San Pedro from Malaga Ariport:
CAR
Malaga International Airport is just 45 Km. from San Pedro. The road to San Pedro from the Airport is called the N-340. When you approach Fuengirola, you have to choose between continuing on the N-340 or going on the 'Costa del Sol' toll motorway. The second one is faster and less busy but costs 5 euros high season and 3.40 euros low season
TAXI
You will find lots of them at the gate to Malaga Airport. The airport taxis will take you anywhere along the Costa del Sol and the rates are fixed and the current tariff should be available in the taxi. The price of the trip Malaga Airport to Marbella is about 45 Euros, to Puerto Banus 48 Euros, or to Estepona 60 Euros.
Marbella / Guadalmina San Pedro de Alcantara area

An ancient farming community, once famous for sugar cane, today San Pedro is a refreshingly unspoilt pueblo with an appeal all of its own.

San Pedro also has the last summer fair ( feria ) in Andalucia in the second week in October.
Historians will enjoy the Paleochristian Basilica Church by the sea and the third century Roman Baths, Las Bovedas.
The Paleochristian Basilica Church and Necropolis is located in the woods next to the Bora Bora Beach Club that is on the sea front directly in front of the town. A little further west along the beach to Guadalmina are the restored remains of the Roman Baths.
How to get there
From all major airports in the United Kingdom and Ireland, you can fly to Malaga or Gibraltar. From either airport its approx 30-40 mins drive to San Pedro. The apartment has air conditioning/heating, piped music system, two televisions and DVD player. There is underground parking with lift access and the community is gated with 24 hour security.
The apartment comprises two bedrooms;one double and one twin. The double bedroom has en suite facilities. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use along with a hair dryer. The master bedroom has 21 inch TV. Both bedrooms are very comfortable and tastefully decorated.
The kitchen is equipped with hob, oven, microwave, fridge freezer, kettle, toaster. There is also a dishwasher, washing machine, iron and ironing board. There is cutlery ,crockery, glassware and cooking utensils. There is also a table along with four chairs.
The dining area consists of a beautiful mahogany table and chairs along with a sideboard. There are very comfortable two seater and three seater leather sofas along with coffee table for your convenience. There is also a 28inch TV with cable/satellite connectivity along with DVD player
Further details outdoors: The apartment overlooks a beautifully landscaped pool area with main pool and children's' pool. There is also a gym for use by all residents. There is a gym which can be used also.
San Pedro Beach is 5 minutes drive away or 20 minute walk.
The long 'paseo maritimo' makes it easy to find a space even on a summer Sunday. There are numerous beach bars. Try Bora Bora and also Guayaba Beach at the west end. To the east there are a number of trendy beach clubs to be seen in - Victor's Beach and Babaloo Beach.
